Ipinanganak si 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 “𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐒. 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫. noong 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟐𝟕 ng 𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐲𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟑𝟐 sa Tarlac, Pilipinas. Siya ay isang mamamahayag, politiko, at senador na nakipagbaka para sa demokrasya noong panahon ng Batas Militar.

Pumanaw si Ninoy Aquino noong 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟐𝟏 ng 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟑 matapos siyang barilin sa Manila International Airport habang pabalik sa Pilipinas mula sa Estados Unidos.

𝐓𝐮𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟐𝟏 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨, ginugunita ng mga Pilipino ang pagkamatay ni Ninoy Aquino sa pamamagitan ng 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲, isang 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 sa buong bansa. Layunin nitong alalahanin ang kaniyang buhay, sakripisyo, at naging ambag sa kasaysayan ng demokrasya sa Pilipinas.

Ang kaniyang pagkamatay ay naging mahalagang bahagi ng kasaysayan ng bansa. Nagdulot ito ng malawakang pagkilos at pagtaas ng panawagan para sa pagbabago, demokrasya, at pananagutan sa pamahalaan.

Mahalaga na ipagdiwang ang Ninoy Aquino Day sapagkat ipinapaalala nito sa ating mga Pilipino lalo na sa kabataan, ang kahalagahan ng paninindigan,pagkakaisa at pagmamahal sa bayan. Sa pamamagitan ng pag-alala sa kasaysayan, mas nauunawaan natin ang halaga ng mga karapatan at kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Sa likod ng isang pangalan, may buhay na inialay para sa isang paninindigan at isang kasaysayang patuloy na inaalala ng bayan.

Tuwing buwan ng 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨, ipinagdiriwang natin ang kapanganakan at mga ambag sa Pilipinas ng kauna-unahang pangulo ng Pamahalaang Commonwealth ng Pilipinas at tinaguriang “𝑨𝒎𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒂,” na si 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐋. 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 na kilala sa initials na 𝐌𝐋𝐐.

Pumanaw si Pangulong Quezon noong ika-1 ng Agosto, taong 1944, dahil sa sakit na tuberculosis habang nagsisilbing pangulo ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa gitna ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig.

Bilang pagbabalik-tanaw, ipinanganak si Quezon noong ika-19 ng Agosto, 1878 sa bayan ng Baler, Tayabas. Sa bisa ng 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝟲𝟳𝟰𝟭, ang 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟭𝟵 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 ay itinakdang “𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲” sa buong Pilipinas at “𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲” naman para sa mga Probinsya ng Quezon at Aurora, at sa Lungsod ng Quezon.

Tanyag si Quezon sa kaniyang mahahalagang ambag sa bansang Pilipinas sa panahon ng kaniyang pamumuno. Kabilang na rito ang paggawad ng karapatan sa mga kababaihan na makaboto sa halalan at ang pagtatatag ng 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 bilang wikang pambansa.

Naniniwala si Quezon sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng sariling wikang magbubuklod sa mga Pilipino at magiging pagkakakilanlan ng kanilang kultura. Hangarin niya ang pagkakaisa ng iba't ibang rehiyon sa bansa.

Sa likod ng tagumpay, may taong lumaban para sa wika at kalayaan.

Grade 12 students showcase their Contemporary Dance performance under the supervision of HOPE 3 subject teacher Ms. Vanessa Mercado at the St. Francis High School Covered Court on August 14, 2026. The performances were judged by Mr. Renz Marasigan, Ms. Eulyn Remigio, and Mr. Eazel Donn Villamater.

𝐒𝐅𝐇𝐒 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐕 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) members from St. Francis High School (SFHS) participated in the Collective Harmony of Activities Required for Merit Badges for Venturer Rank (CHARM V) on August 2–3, 2026, alongside delegates from different municipalities in Quezon Province, strengthening their skills and fulfilling their commitment to duty to God and the Republic of the Philippines.

The two-day activity was led by Junior High School Principal Aristeo Leoparte together with Scout Leaders Shaun Jhon Gonzales, Nikki Scottie Beñares, Bien John Alcantara, and Trysya Mae Armamento, as Scouts worked toward requirements for the Venturer Rank through activities focused on skills development, character formation, leadership, and service.

CHARM V concluded with a night camp that provided the participating Scouts an opportunity for fellowship, outdoor learning, and the application of scouting values, complementing the Boy Scouts of the Philippines’ goal of developing responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented young citizens.

Led by the Franciscan Youth under the supervision of Mr. Joshua Alcantara and Ms. Camille Anchorez, the Assisian community gathered at the Covered Court of St. Francis High School on August 11, 2026, to honor the Feast of Saint Clare of Assisi, their patroness.

The celebration served as a reminder of the importance of faith, humility, prayer, courage, and faithful service to God.

Among the highlights of the celebration were the crowning of Saint Clare’s image and the placing of the monstrance in her hands.

The crown symbolized her holiness, honor, and eternal reward, while the monstrance represented her deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and her faith in Christ’s presence.

The Assisian community also offered eggs and prayer petitions as a tribute to Saint Clare and as a way of wishing for good weather throughout the year.

Through the celebration of her feast day, St. Clare’s legacy continues to inspire people to strengthen their faith and live with love and devotion.

𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐒𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 | 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢

The Assisian community gathered for the 3rd Community Mass to celebrate the Feast of St. Clare of Assisi, sponsored by the Franciscan Youth and the Elementary Department, fostering faith and unity within the community. The Mass was held at the SFHS gymnasium and led by Rev. Fr. Jemilhelm “Eloy” Nunez on August 11, 2026.

During his homily, Rev. Fr. Jemilhelm “Eloy” Nunez reminded the congregation that greatness is not about being above others, but about being humble enough to respect them and caring enough to help and love them.

He conveyed this through his message: “𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘢𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘢𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘢 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭.”

His message encouraged the congregation to follow the example of St. Clare of Assisi, whose life was rooted in humility, faith, and love while emphasizing that true greatness is not measured by power or wealth, but by one’s willingness to serve God and others with love.

Through St. Clare’s example, the congregation was encouraged to remain humble, caring, and loving toward others, reflecting the values she lived by.

The celebration concluded with an encouragement for the Assisian community to spread love, remain humble, and care for one another both inside and outside the school.

Sampaloc 2, Sariaya, Quezon, led by the Young Franciscans with their club moderators, Ms. Camille Anchorez and Mr. Joshua Alcantara.

Through this act, may St. Clare bring us closer to God through prayer and faith.

St. Clare of Assisi was a woman who chose faith over wealth and a simple life over comfort. Born in 1194 in Assisi, Italy, she came from a wealthy family but decided to dedicate herself completely to God after being inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. She founded the Poor Clares, a religious order focused on prayer, humility, poverty, and service.

St. Clare of Assisi also stood firm in defending her beliefs and became the first woman to have her own rule of religious life approved by the Church. Because of her extraordinary faith and devotion, she was canonized in 1255 by Pope Alexander IV, only two years after her death.

St. Clare is traditionally recognized as the patron saint of television and television-related media because, according to tradition, she miraculously saw and heard Mass from her sickbed when she was unable to attend in person.And her legacy continues to represent strength through faith, simplicity, and devotion.
