𝟐𝟖𝟎 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝟏𝟎 𝐂𝐎𝐏𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐂𝐌 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan De Oro City — A total of 280 PNP personnel from Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) participated in the four-day Automated Counting Machine (ACM) Training and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Certification conducted by the Commission on Elections Regional Office X (COMELEC X) for their deployment as members of the Special Electoral Board (SEB) during the September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The training was conducted on August 17–20, 2026, at the Deluxe Hotel, Cogon, Cagayan de Oro City, to equip the participating PNP personnel with the technical knowledge and skills necessary in the operation of the Automated Counting Machine and the proper performance of their duties as SEB members.

Following the training and certification, the 280 PNP personnel will be deployed to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to assist in the conduct of the parliamentary elections.

PBGEN NESTOR C BABAGAY, JR., Regional Director of PRO10, emphasized the importance of proper training and preparation of PNP personnel who will be entrusted with election-related responsibilities.

“We appreciate the efforts of COMELEC X and the Department of Science and Technology in ensuring that our personnel are properly trained and certified for their roles as members of the Special Electoral Board. This preparation is essential to ensure that they can perform their duties with competence, professionalism, and integrity,” he said.

PBGEN BABAGAY likewise reiterated that the PNP remains committed to supporting the COMELEC in ensuring a peaceful, orderly, and credible electoral process, while strictly observing its mandate of political neutrality.

“Our personnel will perform their duties with utmost professionalism and impartiality. They are there to support the electoral process and ensure that their responsibilities are carried out properly, without favor or bias. PRO10 will continue to work closely with COMELEC and other stakeholders to help ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of the BARMM Parliamentary Elections,” he added. # # #
