36 things I Iearned at 36
1. Even if it feels tiring, bring your little kids to church.
2. You don’t need to always be in defensive mode. Sometimes, silence is the best response.
3. Words kill.
4. You will know the value of money if you worked hard for it.
5. If something feels off, don’t do it.
6. Read the Bible even if you don’t understand it.
7. In marriage (or in any relationship), winning an argument is not the goal.
8. Your spouse is not you.
9. Date your spouse. Learn their love language.
10. Don’t assume and bottle up. Communicate.
11. Say sorry to your kids. Lead by example.
12. Pay attention to your kids when they say, “mom, look at this!”.
13. Spend uninterrupted time with your child minimum 30 mins a week talking about life and Jesus.
14. Listen before you speak.
15. Sometimes you need to keep your advice to yourself and just listen.
16. Things will not always go your way because you’re not God.
17. Go out and enjoy the sun.
18. Learn to swim. Teach your children to swim.
19. Our life is numbered so always count your blessings.
20. Love because Jesus first loved us.
21. Help in silence.
22. Look at money as a tool to bless people.
23. Turmeric, ginger, and honey = stronger immunity
24. Get checked. Don’t avoid doctors.
25. Health emergency? Rush to the hospital ASAP. Don’t think about money. Provision will follow.
26. Register to Philhealth YAKAP (for Filipinos)
27. Always save for rainy days.
28. Faith in Jesus is everything.
29. You’re not late. Stop rushing. Literally and figuratively.
30. Always choose to forgive.
31. Life is fleeting. Do what you are called to do.
32. Take care of your gut. Fiber and probiotics.
33. Bring a med kit everywhere you go in case of emergency — paracetamol, antihistamine, etc.
34. Find a hobby that will push you to move.
35. Wear sunscreen everyday.
36. Seek help. Do not assume nobody wants to support you. There are people who will go out of their way to help.
