Thank you everyone for supporting the films created by our Grade 11 students! 🎥🎬🍿

As the CI Cinema Films Production was back on the big screen, the Grade 11 students successfully launched their short films showcasing their talents and skills and inspiring the Eliseans to develop their creativity in film showing while addressing societal issues, last February 5-8, 2024.

With their efforts for 21st Century Literature and Empowerment Technology, the CI Senior High School Department had made a lot of preparations to blast off a Film Festival, including having workshops and inviting guest speakers who are experienced in the field, enhancing students’ learning experience and creativity in literature and filmmaking.

The department’s preparations have made an impact on the said event which guided the students to make diverse films that could encourage and move the people through their own lenses and perspectives.

Grade 11 students successfully produced ten short films recognizing, “The Unseen Doubt”, “Magdalena”, “Dekada ‘70”, “The Detective Boys of Masangkay”, “Takipsilim”, “Hope to Betrayal”, “Beautiful Stranger”, “Banaag at Sikat”, “Huling Hiling”, and “Bunga ng Pang-aapi”.

According to Ms. Ira Almendra, Grade 11’s Empowerment Technology Teacher, incorporating a film festival into the student performance task not only enriches the learning experience but also aligns with the broader goals of both of the said subjects.

“It provides a dynamic platform for students to engage with literature in a way that is relevant, innovative, and reflective of the diverse and interconnected world they inhabit,” Ms. Khaye Martin stated.

This allowed Eliseans to engage with literature in a modern and innovative way, aligning with the goals of contemporary education and empowerment technology.

To end their film festival, the CI Cinema Film Productions assembled their Awards Night, giving acknowledgments for their creativity, and the annual event, Night Sky Cinema, to showcase their film once again to the CI Community.
