Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters in Mindanao who were affected by this morning’s 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
In moments like these, words often seem inadequate. Yet we take comfort in knowing that God remains our refuge and strength, “a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). As communities assess the damage, care for their loved ones, and begin the difficult process of recovery, we lift them up in prayer before our compassionate Heavenly Father.
We pray for the safety of families, the protection of rescue and emergency workers, wisdom for local leaders, and comfort for those who are fearful, grieving, or uncertain about what lies ahead. May God surround every affected community with His peace, provision, and hope.
As one faith family, let us remember Mindanao in our prayers today. May the Lord strengthen weary hearts, preserve lives, and remind every person affected that they are not forgotten.
