𝗦𝗶𝗼𝗡𝗮𝗦𝗰𝗶 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲

As a journalistic overture to media endeavors, the official school-community publications of Siocon National Science High School (SioNaSci), The P*s Siyabit and In Amanat, began the annual selection of promising writers through a Local Schools Press Conference, September 8-10, 2024.

Waving the theme, “Excellence, Intelligence, and Skill of Patriotic Youth in the Spirit of Resilient Aspirations,” around 70 students participated in the event, aiming to clinch a spot on the editorial board and be awarded as top writers at its conclusion.

On top of that, the publications invited lecturers who are most adept in journalism, having established their expertise through earning recognition in various Schools Press Conferences.

“Thank you, SioNaSci, sa walang pagsawang (sic) pag-imbita sa akin. One output is promising,” said Kent Jestoni Gabo, former adviser of The P*s Siyabit and national-winning coach, praising one output in page layout on a Facebook post.

The result of the event will be the basis for selecting the new set of journalists who will run the editorial boards of the two publications.

School paper advisers are set to convene to finalize the writers’ lineup and plan for the beats of the school year.
