🧍‍♂️ “Not All Riches Are Seen” 🥖

Sa gilid ng kalsada, araw-araw nakaupo si Mang Kardo — isang pulubi, nakasuot ng kupas na damit at may bitbit na sirang lata para sa limos.

Marami ang lumalampas sa kanya. May ilan na nagtatawa, may iba na nag-aalangan pang lumapit. Pero isang araw, may batang lalaking tumigil at nag-abot ng tinapay.

Ngumiti si Mang Kardo at sinabing,
"Maraming salamat, iho. Alam mo ba, minsan mas mayaman ang taong may pusong tumulong kaysa sa may gintong bulsa."

Napaisip ang bata. Simula noon, tuwing may ekstrang pagkain o barya siya, ibinibigay niya kay Mang Kardo. Hindi dahil sa awa, kundi dahil natutunan niyang ang tunay na yaman ay nasa malasakit, respeto, at kabutihang loob.

Makaraan ang ilang buwan, nawala si Mang Kardo. Pero sa poste kung saan siya palaging nakaupo, may iniwang sulat:

"Ang batang marunong rumespeto sa kapwa, yayaman hindi lang sa pera, kundi sa puso ng tao. Salamat sa kabutihan mo."
