The Department of Tourism successfully conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence training at SLSU on August 1-2, 2025, held at the SLSU Mini Theatre. The event was actively participated in by 2nd- to 4th-year FHTM students, together with our dean, Dr. Dinah D. Catamco, program heads Ms. Arnejo and Ms. Ugat, and faculty members.

Held on July 4, 2025, at the RIES Building, SLSU Main Campus, the 2nd Provincial Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Council Meeting brought together local leaders, educators, and innovators to strengthen collaborative efforts in regional development.

As part of the program, Ms. Alma Arnejo, Program Head of Hospitality Management, presented the Southern Leyte Tourism Development Plan (TDP): Tourism Circuit and Cluster-Based Strategy. A visionary proposal aimed at elevating tourism through strategic, sustainable, and science-driven approaches.

Meet Katrina Clarissa Boleche Dohiling, from childhood dreams to a growing brand, Just Desserts by JJKC was born from Katrinaโ€™s passion for baking. A graduate of BS Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management at SLSUโ€“Main Campus Batch 2015, she now turns sweet visions into reality.
