AYAN NA! NA-FEAUTURE NA SA INQUIRER.net 🥹😭✨

I was honestly quite shocked and surprised when INQUIRER messaged me saying they wanted to feature my video about Judge Leslie Costales and the way he conducts our recitations through BINGO and the Wheel of Fortune/Wheel of Misfortune 😂⚖️

So heto na nga! Thank you so much, Daily Inquirer, for the opportunity to share a little glimpse of my law school experience with your audience. I’m so grateful that the video gained so much attention and views, and that our recitation experience became something that others could also enjoy and relate to 🥹

I asked asked Judge Costales why he conducts recitations this way, he simply saint na he wanted the selection to be as random as possible so that no one could think that the choice was arbitrary. Destiny, kumbaga. Sabi niya.

And we couldn’t agree more. Because when that wheel spins or that bingo ball gets drawn, there’s really no way to predict who’s next. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Kung ikaw ang nabunot, ikaw talaga. Walang sisihan. 😂

Of course, the nervousness and fear are still there. Recitations are still hard. Being put on the spot and trying to recall everything you read, while simultaneously figuring out how to properly answer the question, is definitely not easy.

But somehow, Judge Leslie’s way of doing it makes the experience feel lighter.

It adds a little fun to something that can otherwise feel overwhelmingly intimidating.

And I think that’s one of the things I’ve come to appreciate about law school: studying law is hard, but it doesn’t mean that every moment has to be heavy.

There can be laughter in between the readings. There can be jokes in between the cases. There can be BINGO, roleta, and a little bit of “Lord, please not me” before answering a question. 😂

And that’s exactly why I shared this video.

Law school is hard. Really hard. But somewhere between the fear of being called and the laughter after a recitation, we realize that this journey can also be fun. And that’s why I keep on documenting my experiences and journey in law school 🥹💖⚖️
