Tucal Elementary School Learners Receive Life-Saving Vaccinations
Tucal, August 13, 2025 – Grade 1 learners and Grade 4 female learners of Tucal Elementary School recently received essential vaccinations as part of the Department of Health’s school-based immunization program.
The vaccines provided protection against preventable diseases such as Tetanus, Diphtheria, Measles, and Rubella. In addition, Grade 4 female learners were given the HPV vaccine, which helps prevent cervical cancer later in life.
This health initiative aims to safeguard school-aged children from serious illnesses and promote their overall well-being. Health workers and school officials worked closely to ensure the safety and comfort of the children throughout the vaccination process.
The Local Government Unit (LGU) health team was composed of:
Juliet P. Crisostomo, Midwife III
Grace Ann V. Galamay, Midwife I
Tanyalyn E. Salvador, Nurse I

Parents were informed ahead of time and provided their consent, contributing to the program’s success. Through this initiative, Tucal Elementary School continues to demonstrate its commitment to the health and safety of its students.
