Vice President Leni Robredo shared on Monday a photo of her ironing daughter Jillian’s graduation toga in preparation for New York University’s commencement exercises on May 18.

In an Instagram story, Robredo described ironing her youngest daughter’s toga as the “first order of this trip.” She also shared that this is their first family trip without work to worry after a long time.

“We will be gone for a few days to just spend time with family and take a well deserved rest before all of us restart the lives we have put on hold. Inanunsiyo ni presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo ang pagbuo ng Angat Buhay bilang isang non-government organization na ilulunsad sa Hulyo 1.

“Buuuin natin ang pinakamalawak na volunteer network sa kasaysayan ng ating bansa. Tuloy tayo sa pagtungo sa mga nasa laylayan at sa pag-ambagan para umangat sila.”

“Pero hindi tayo mamimili ng tutulungan. Wala tayong tatalikuran. Ipapakita natin ang buong pwersa ng radikal na pagmamahal. Ito ngayon ang hamon sa atin: panatilihing magkarugtong ang ating mga bisig, ang humakbang ng magkakasama,” dagdag niya.
