1. Maraming klase ng buwis. Hindi lang iisa ang binabayaran ng negosyo.

Income tax
Value-Added Tax (VAT) o percentage tax
Withholding taxes (sa sweldo, renta, suppliers)
Local taxes (mayor’s permit, business tax, barangay clearance)
Government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)

Kahit maliit ang kita, marami pa ring kailangang bayaran.

2. Double o overlapping taxes.

National tax + local government tax
VAT ka na, may local business tax pa
May income tax, pero may withholding pa sa bawat galaw

Resulta: isang kita, maraming bawas.

May accountants
May tax lawyers
May incentives

5. Madalas magbago ang rules. Nakaka-stress at dagdag gastos sa oras at tao.

Palit ng memo
New compliance
New forms
New deadlines

6. Indirect taxes ramdam din.

Mataas ang kuryente (dahil may tax din)
Mahal ang logistics
May import duties

Lahat ‘yan, cost na ipinapasa sa negosyo.

Hirap mo mahalin Pilipinas 🥳

POST FOR AWARENESS

Patagal nang patagal…
pabulok nang pabulok ang sistema sa Pilipinas.

Yung mga gustong maghanapbuhay,
pinapahirapan sa requirements.
Pinapahirapan sa buwis.
Pinapahirapan sa penalties.
Kapag nagkulang ka — kulong.
Kapag na-late ka — may multa.
Kapag nalugi ka — problema mo ‘yan.

Samantalang may mga tambay na may ayuda.
May sustento.

Kailangan ‘yan.

Haaays! Pilipinas! Ang hirap mo mahalin!😡

BIR Revenue District Office 043 - Pasig City

"You may not see it from your desks, but on the ground, we are breaking.”

That line appears in an open letter written by a Filipino entrepreneur using the name Small Business Owner PH, addressed to the Bureau of Internal Revenue Philippines. The letter was shared in the Facebook group BIR Tax Updates, Tax Problems, & Business Concerns: CPADavao.com. It is not a manifesto against taxes. It is a plea from someone who says the system is “slowly taking the life out of us.”

The letter speaks of owners covering salaries when sales are down, borrowing money just to stay open, and living in fear of penalties that arrive without clear explanation. “We are not billion-peso companies with accountants and lawyers at arm’s reach,” the business owner says. “We are mothers, fathers, breadwinners.”

Business owners describe anxiety at the sight of BIR letters, repeated submissions for minor errors, and inspections that feel more like threats than guidance. Some admit to closing shop. Others talk about under-declaring income just to survive. That is what happens when compliance feels punitive instead of supportive.

The letter’s clearest demand is fairness. “We dream of a BIR that can see the difference between honest small business owners and those who abuse the system. We dream of a process that guides instead of terrifies, that mentors instead of punishes, that treats us like partners — not targets.”

It ends with a reminder often repeated but rarely acted on. Small businesses are the backbone of this nation.

If you’re a small business owner, what has your experience with the BIR really been like so far?

BOSS? O STRESS? 😡

Ha??? 🤯
Kami pa ang mag-a-adjust?

Sa Irosin naman, lalo na sa SANITARY—
👉 pirmi late
👉 pag abot mo, sasabihun madamo pa daw ingigibu
👉 tapos dahilan pa may in-attendan daw

Kung on-time lang sana, edi hindi nagkakapatong-patong ang papeles!

Ganito ba ang Business One-Stop Shop?
Nasaan ang “ease” kung pahirap pa rin?

Paki-check naman po ito.

🌳 WHY ALLOW THIS, DENR? 🌳
An Open Question from the People of Sorsogon

We are deeply concerned about the recent approval to cut down the trees in Sorsogon Capitol Park — a place that has been part of our city’s identity, history, and daily life.

Capitol Park isn’t just land.
It’s where families gather, where children play, where students rest, and where our community finds shade, peace, and heritage. 🌿

So we ask, DENR, with all respect:
👉 What is the basis for approving the cutting of these trees?
👉 Was there a full environmental impact assessment?
👉 Why was the community not properly informed?
👉 What alternatives were considered before deciding to remove them?

In a time when we should be protecting green spaces, why are we losing one of the few we have left? 😔

We urge Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and our local leaders:
📢 Please explain this decision to the people.
📢 We deserve transparency and accountability.
📢 Save our trees. Save our park. Save our heritage.
