Latter-day Saints and Muslim Community Unite for Tree Planting and Madrasah Support

Unapan, Marilog – June 11, 2025 — Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Calinan and Tamugan Wards joined hands with the Muslim community in a meaningful tree planting activity in Brgy. Suawan, in partnership with NCMF Davao and CENRO.

This interfaith initiative is part of the “Adopt a Madrasah and Tree Planting” program, which aims to support two local madrasahs through renovations and the donation of chairs, construction materials, and educational supplies.

As volunteers planted trees, they also nurtured unity, friendship, and a shared commitment to serving others. The event reflected the Church’s desire to care for the environment and build lasting relationships with faith communities in Davao.

Together, we planted more than trees—we planted hope, peace, and understanding.
