🌧️ Typhoon Tino Slams Cebu City: Homes and Vehicles Engulfed in Floodwaters

LOOK: Heavy downpours from Typhoon Tino have inundated parts of Cebu City early Tuesday, leaving several neighborhoods submerged. In Bacayan, particularly in Villa del Rio 1, floodwaters reportedly rose to waist- to chest-deep levels, forcing families to flee to safer areas.

Rescue teams and local authorities from the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) are now on-site, conducting evacuation efforts and closely monitoring the situation as rainfall continues across the city.

Officials urge residents to remain alert, follow evacuation orders, and avoid flooded areas as Typhoon Tino continues to unleash heavy rains and strong winds over the Visayas region.

DUTERTE FAMILY TRADITION CONTINUES: FOOD PACKS DISTRIBUTED AT CATHOLIC CEMETERY

LOOK: First District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte continued the tradition started by his father, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, by distributing food packs, cash assistance, and burgers to visitors of the Roman Catholic Cemetery on November 2.

The activity took place near the resting place of the late Vicente Duterte, father of FPRRD, and extended to nearby cemeteries and surrounding communities. Organizers shared that food packs and cash were given to caretakers, workers, and visiting families, while burgers were handed out to children.

This annual tradition, eagerly awaited by Dabawenyos, reflects the Duterte family’s gesture of remembrance and respect for those who have passed on.
