Field Trip Highlights:BSA-3 Goes to VSU and Cabintan!

The BSA-3 students kicked off their field trip early at 7:00 AM, heading to Visayas State University (VSU). Their day began with a tour of the Horticulture Department and an engaging lecture by Mr. Roden D. Troyo about the Ornamental Crops Division and its mission to promote quality ornamental plant production and environmental stewardship.

They later explored the floriculture nursery, the Plant Tissue Culture Lab, and the Grafting Facility, where they learned hands-on asexual propagation techniques using cacao. The students also got to pick fresh rambutan and enjoy chocomilk made from real carabao’s milk.

Their next stop was the Cabintan Livelihood Community Agriculture Cooperative, where Mr. Rodel Morales introduced precision farming technologies like sensor-based irrigation and fertilizer application. Surrounded by scenic highlands and vast vegetable fields, the students ended their trip with fresh cabbages and new agricultural insights.

A day filled with learning, exploration, and appreciation for sustainable farming β€” the BSA-3 field trip was truly one for the books! 🌿🚜

We are the Terraquatic Eagles, fierce, fearless, and unstoppable. Like the mighty Eagle, we rule the skies with unmatched vision and strength. But we are more than rulers of the air, we thrive on land and dominate in water. Our name carries the spirit of both agriculture and fisheries: terra for the land that grounds us, aquatic for the waters that empower us. We are built to adapt, born to compete, and destined to conquer. When the game begins, we rise higher, strike harder, and fight with pride. No ground too tough, no wave too strong, Terraquatic Eagles never backdown.
