Some days, my husband and I just wish we could have one normal, peaceful day… without meltdowns over the smallest things, without stress, crying, or emotional exhaustion. 😔
Can’t we just have a day off from all the chaos sometimes? Can’t the little things just pass without turning into something overwhelming? It’s so tiring constantly trying to stay calm, patient, and strong every single day.
Being parents of children with autism comes with a love that is unconditional and incredibly deep… but it also comes with challenges that people don’t always see.
The sleepless nights, emotional breakdowns, overstimulation, constant worrying, and endless patience it takes can be physically and emotionally draining.
And when you’re sick, you still don’t get the rest you need. There are days when we feel completely exhausted, yet we still keep going because our children need us. And no matter how hard it gets, the love never changes.
To all autism parents out there: you are not alone. Your feelings are valid, your exhaustion is real, and you are doing the best you can every single day.
One step, one breath, and one day at a time. 🙏
