They came for vacation.

Then airspace closed. Flights were cancelled. Over 20,000 passengers were suddenly stranded across the Gulf.

Instead of chaos, the UAE made one move.

Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi reportedly sent a directive to every hotel in Abu Dhabi:
Do not check them out. Extend their stay. Send us the invoice.

Dubai issued a parallel order within hours.

According to the General Civil Aviation Authority, the state is covering accommodation and meal costs for affected travelers.

Private companies stepped up too. Holiday rental firms opened apartments for free — and more than 250 hosts followed.

No panic pricing.
No sleeping on airport floors.
No “figure it out yourself.”

Just a country absorbing the cost until every visitor can return home safely.

Stress hits me differently lately and I miss how I recharge myself. Nakakaiyak na yung pagod.

Suddenly I miss myself. I miss how my adventures brings tranquility inside me. I miss how I stand on the top of the mountain, those happy memories while walking into the woods, the smell of nature, shade of trees, dirt on my feet, clouds na abot kamay and the breathtaking view from the top na pinaghirapan nyo akyatin.

Maybe I need to change my altitude. Ganitong pagod ang need ko ASAP. Ahon soon!

I like being in the mountain.. all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it. We take risk, sacrifice a little but the reward.. big time! Tama yung reward.. while walking back to the camp, while traveling back home, while opening the door of your comfortable room.
It all brings back the hardships!

From duty to ahon to double backpacking for your kasama, duct tape search, tiis lamig moments, ubusan ng battery sa headlamp and flashlight while half way pa lang (yes lesson learnt bring extra batt BUT I appreciate more yung taong inalagaan ka sa trail [malabo kasi mata ko di ko maidentify ang lupa sa bato at bangin haha] literal na buddy! Yes dalawa lang kasi kami sa middle trail while two of the members walking ahead and the rest are nasa likod pa.. while climbing on the top, you’re loosing your breathe sa nipis ng hangin, patience sa picture picture (di ko nakuha yung peg ko na dp pero I won plenty of friends) monster jeep hilo and s**a moments, stiff neck, shoulder pain sa kasama kong ginawa akong unan, oks lang ginawa ko naman syang comforter haha.

These are all small things compare to witness what God has given us.. how glorious meeting the sun gives the mountain, nature’s beauty, people’s good soul, good and bad lessons that will lose your mind and find your soul. AND the experiences- something strange and more beautiful, more wonderful than your deepest dream waits for you, where your imagination comes alive na parang sa picture mo lang nakikita ngunit ngayon natatanaw ng sarili mong mga mata.

Life should have more mountains, more sea of clouds and less stress.
