At 2,954 MASL, the highest peak in the Philippines,
Apo is a vast geological kingdom of sulfur vents, rising steam, and ancient volcanic bones.
Geologists track its geothermal breath, the tremors beneath its slopes,
and the cold mirror of Lake Venado cradled near its summit.
But to the Lumad tribes, these are not just natural signs โ
they are the footsteps of Apo Sandawa,
the ancestral spirit whose strength forged Mindanaoโs backbone.

Highest peak of Luzon at 2,928 MASL,
Mount Pulag is a high-altitude sanctuary sculpted by frost winds, grassland ridges,
and the world-famous Sea of Clouds that blankets its valleys at dawn.
Scientists describe it as a cold alpine ecosystem โ
home to dwarf bamboo, rare wildlife, and crisp, thin air
only the Earthโs oldest mountains can hold.
But to the Igorot peoples, Pulag is more than a mountain;
it is the stairway of souls.
The Sea of Clouds is the veil where ancestors ascend to Kabunian,
the sky deity whose light ripples across its dawn horizon.
Where science sees condensation and atmosphere,

The highest and most active volcano of the Visayas,
