𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒?

Behind every thriving institution stands a visionary leader dedicated to empowering the next generation of justice professionals. Under the guidance of Dr. Edwin Taganas Montalba, the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) has grown into a hub of academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.

Dr. Montalba is a proud graduate of Cagayan de Oro College, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and his Master’s Degree in Criminology. He later obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Criminology from the prestigious Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR), the first criminology school in the Philippines. At the present, he continues to expand his expertise by pursuing a PhD in Educational Leadership at St. Paul University Manila.

His remarkable contributions to the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice Education have earned him national recognition. In 2022, he received the Dangal ng Lahi Award as the Philippine Most Outstanding Achiever in Criminology and Criminal Justice Education. That same year, he was also named one of the Ten Outstanding Deans of the Philippines during the 3rd Integrated National Convention of Criminology Educators and Professionals.

Beyond the academe, Dr. Montalba serves the country with pride and dedication as part of the Philippine Air Force Reserve Command. In 2025, he was recognized as the Philippine Air Force Reservist of the Year, Field Grade Category, during the 78th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Air Force.

His life and achievements embody the values of leadership, excellence, and service—principles that continue to inspire aspiring criminologists. As a mentor, a leader in the criminology academe, and the pride of the College of Criminal Justice Education, Dr. Edwin Taganas Montalba remains a distinguished figure in both education and national service.

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒?

Ma’am Benneth A. Aloyon, fondly known as Dean BAA, is the Dean of the College of Information Technology at NEMCO—an inspiring mentor, entrepreneur, and content creator.

She founded Digital Entrepreneur to help students transition from learners to entrepreneurs, reprogram their mindset, unlock their true potential, and leverage technology to create value and innovative solutions.

Beyond her professional roles, Ma’am Benneth uses her platforms to encourage others and share the goodness of God, spreading messages of faith and inspiration to uplift people.

Known for her bubbly personality and warm heart, Ma’am Benneth truly cares for every student’s growth—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Above all, she gives glory to God for every success, always reminding everyone: “Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth” (Deuteronomy 8:18). 🙏❤️

The OUTLOOK successfully conducted its First Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Members discussed major agendas including the presentation of the organizational chart, election of executive officers, appointment of chiefs, and review of the Constitution, By-laws, and Logistics (CBL).

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒?

Did you know that behind the firm tone and strict presence of 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗚. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮, 𝗣𝗵.𝗗., is a woman whose heart beats with the gentleness of a grandmother? Inside the classroom, her serious eyes may intimidate us, but outside, her smile and soft voice remind us of home.

Ma’am V is a proud mother of two daughters and one son, all professionals now, and a grandmother to boys who fill her life with joy.

Her journey is inspiring. She first took dentistry, but her calling for teaching led her to pursue Education from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. She later completed her Ph.D. at St. Paul University in Surigao City. Together with her husband, a dentist, she raised a family of professionals and built a legacy of hard work and dedication.

She treasures simple joys such as Filipino dishes like Adobo and Afritada, strolling through thrift stores, and finding peace in traveling. For her, traveling means more than seeing new places; it is a way of breathing freely, recharging, and discovering serenity in the beauty of the world.

In CEAS, students know how privileged they are to be under her umbrella. Her lessons extend beyond books and lectures. Her voice often carries timeless reminders: “𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥” and “𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞.” These words guide us not only in academics but in life itself.

Strict yet kind, disciplined yet warm, Ma’am V is a professor whose presence goes beyond teaching. To us, she is like a grandmother whose love is hidden behind discipline, a mentor whose wisdom lingers long after the bell rings. Truly, knowing her is a privilege we will carry for a lifetime.

𝘾𝘼𝙏𝙃-𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧

𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?

If you hang around the department office long enough, there’s one question you’ll always hear echoing through the halls:

“Asa Ma’am Cath?”
If you stay in the department office, the line “Asa Ma’am Cath?” will echo every time someone is looking for the Program Head of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management—Ma’am Catherine M. Pacatang, LPT, MBA.

On the surface, she is often perceived as the strict, seasoned teacher of their college. However, what many don’t know is that she is the CATH-Teacher.

Ma’am Cath is the epitome of a (C) “Classroom-ready” educator. She never fails to finish all the learning materials required in her syllabi. She always leaves the school only after checking the class activities she has given her students for the day. Whatever is required of her work, she never misses the deadlines.

People think she has a strong aura in the classroom, but whenever you see her taking pictures at any occasion, she always uses the Korean signature pose—finger hearts—probably inspired by her favorite oppas. Suddenly, the fierce aura you always see within the four corners of her classroom transforms into an (A) “Adorable” and caring person you’ll ever know.

Working as a business educator will take you on many rides in life, and Ma’am Cathy is evidence of that rollercoaster journey. She always (T) “Teaches by experience.” Her life, her positive outlook, and her joyful experiences bring energy to her 8 AM to 8 PM job, seven days a week. Her wisdom influences students to do well in life—not only in their profession but also in how they treat people and value experiences. She always tells her students, “Makab-ot unta ninyo inyong luntiang pangarap”—wishing everyone in her class to reach their dreams in life.

Finally, she is (H) “Home.” She takes care of the sick. She makes sure she is like a mother in the classroom—a second home. Ma’am Cath will sit down and listen to your rants, sobbing stories, and even your nonsense chika. She is always there, giving comfort, like home.

Ma’am Cath is just one of the teachers in the institution who is a true CATH-Teacher—a teacher who inspires you to reach your maximum potential.

Every October, the Catholic faithful honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Month of the Holy Rosary, a time dedicated to prayer, reflection, and devotion. In our school, this observance has become a cherished tradition, affirming the community’s strong spiritual foundation.

This devotion highlights the shared commitment of the faculty and administration to prayer, showing how faith remains a guiding light within the school community. It also reflects 𝗡𝗘𝗠𝗖𝗢'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀—𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗥𝗘: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲—which the school upholds and integrates into both faith and education.

Northeastern Mindanao Colleges (NEMCO) — October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the disease, encouraging early detection, and honoring the strength of survivors.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women globally. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in eight women may develop breast cancer in her lifetime. However, early detection through regular check-ups and self-examinations can significantly increase survival rates.

This learning opportunity enables students to apply entrepreneurial principles in real-world settings, preparing them to become innovative professionals and active contributors to their communities.
