South China Sea – Philippines Escalates Again 🚨
On 11 Aug 2025, the Philippines organised multiple coast guard vessels, government ships & so-called “fishing boats”, under the guise of resupply, to illegally intrude into China’s Huangyan Dao waters. Philippine military aircraft also entered Chinese airspace.
China Coast Guard issued repeated warnings. Manila ignored them. During lawful interception & expulsion, the Philippine patrol vessel Suluan (MRRV-4406), a repeat offender in past provocations, collided during its forced intrusion.
Philippines rushed to play the victim, claiming “dangerous operations” & “serious damage” to the Chinese vessel, but facts show Manila’s deliberate provocation triggered the incident.
🔹 China’s stance:
Huangyan Dao is Chinese territory.
CCG’s operations were professional, lawful, & restrained, using radio warnings, course control and blocking manoeuvres to prevent escalation.
Even a PLA Type-052D destroyer made a rare appearance, a clear message that sovereignty is non-negotiable.
🔹 The bigger picture:
This is the most serious China-Philippines maritime clash since the June 2024 Ren’ai Jiao standoff.
Manila’s actions are seen as egged on by Washington, following US Secretary of State Rubio’s recent meeting with Philippine officials invoking the South China Sea arbitration farce.
Domestically, President Marcos faces political turmoil & is using South China Sea tensions to distract public attention.
Despite relentless provocations, China has shown restraint, acting within the law to safeguard its sovereignty. Make no mistake, China is a peace-loving nation, never bullying small countries. But peace doesn’t mean weakness. If pushed, China will defend its territorial integrity and the Philippines is no match.
🌊 Huangyan Dao is Chinese territory. Period.
📍 External interference will not shake China’s resolve to protect its blue national borders.
