Tropical Depression RamilPH Update (2:00 AM, Oct 18, 2025)
Tropical Depression Ramil maintains its strength as it moves westward over the Philippine Sea. As of 1:00 AM, its center was located 370 km east of Juban, Sorsogon, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gustiness up to 70 km/h, moving west at 30 km/h.
Signal No. 1 is raised over parts of Luzon and Eastern Visayas, including Bicol Region, Quezon, Isabela, and Northern Samar, where strong winds and rains are expected within 36 hours.
Ramil is forecast to make landfall over Catanduanes this afternoon or evening, cross Bicol Region, and possibly hit Aurora or Quezon by Sunday morning before exiting to the West Philippine Sea by Monday.
PAGASA warns of possible storm surges (1โ2 meters) and rough to very rough seas, especially along the eastern seaboards. Residents in flood-prone or coastal areas are advised to stay alert and follow local advisories.
