𝗞𝗦𝗨 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

College students from Kalinga State University shared their knowledge about waste management with Grades 7–12 students of Saint Theresita’s School of Tabuk at the covered court on July 11.

Ms. Linesa B. Acasio, Ms. Gem Heart G. Alimag, Ms.Mary Jane M. Bautista, and Mr. Ramon S. Mata Jr., college students from KSU, taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, led the session on solid waste management.

They introduced Republic Act No. 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, the Philippines' national law promoting systematic, comprehensive, and ecological solid waste management. The law encourages applying the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) as well as composting and recovery, enforcing source segregation, prohibiting open burning and dumping, and phasing out unsafe landfills.

The students also discussed the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) that focuses on solid waste management, mainly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, which aims to ensure sustainable use of resources.

After the discussion, they distributed survey forms for students to answer, helping assess what the students learned.

The activity ended successfully, giving Theresians a deeper understanding of proper waste management and its importance in protecting the environment.

Student leaders from the various clubs and organizations of St. Theresita' School of Tabuk, Inc. alongside the Family Council members partook in an orientation held at the school's covered court on July 12, 2025 with the theme: "We Inspire, We Give Hope and Joy." Through the event, information such as what goals STS TABUK seeks to pursue onwards, alongside further elaboration of Vision and Mission, and the different services offered by the school was disseminated to the student officers.

Mr. Julius Gal, a stakeholder, discussed PROJECT S.T.S (Social Transformation through Seedlings Distribution) ACTION PLAN 2025 of STS Dagupan Tabuk, an action plan highlighting the use of coconut seedlings as tokens for sponsors and IEC program and partnership with LGU and NGOs (I-CARE YOUTH) as methods of earning proceeds for the school to utilize while realizing Laudato Si (a phrase derived from the second encyclical of the late Pope Francis, emphasizing the responsibility people share in caring for God's Creation).

Following this was a lecture by Mdm. Thelma S. Parungao, the School Principal, about STS Tabuk's Vision and Mission Statement and Core Values. She stated that these values must be things the students must carry with them along the way and at all times, especially so as both a Theresian and a student leader. She reminded the students that becoming a Theresian means adapting to the school's culture of respect and courtesy.

Ms. Kaycie Cabigas, Elementary teacher, elaborated on the different programs and services offered by STS Tabuk. These services are effective means to aid students in their social and spiritual formation and their academic performance, as mentioned in the Student Handbook. Ms. Cabigas outlined Scholarship Programs; School Organizations; School Assemblies; the School Publication; Athletic Programs; Spiritual Programs; Library, Guidance and Counseling, Health and Safety, and Security Services.

This orientation, among many, emphasizes that knowledge alongside a strong set of values are crucial in shaping effective and genuine leaders that contributes to a harmonious environment both in and out of campus, and who uphold the Theresian spirit and inspire others to do the same.

A Spiritual Formation Talk was held on the morning of July 2, 2025, at the St. Joseph Parish Hall for pupils from Grades 1 to 6. Facilitated by the Alliance of the Holy Family International (AHFI) Sisters, the activity aimed to strengthen the pupils’ Catholic faith, encourage prayer, and deepen their love for the Holy Mass.

This event supports the school’s mission of providing not just academic excellence, but also strong values and spiritual formation.

Grades 1 to 3 Session
The primary level pupils began the session with a lively song and dance featuring “Ang mga Ibon,” which created a joyful and welcoming start.

The AHFI Sisters taught the proper way to do the Sign of the Cross and pray the Hail Mary. They also introduced the Holy Trinity and the story of Creation, which pupils reflected on through drawing activities.

Grades 4 to 6 Session
For the intermediate level, the talk focused on deeper topics about Catholic teachings, including the seven Sacraments and seven capital sins.

The session ended with a short but inspiring movie titled “The Greatest Miracle,” which helped the pupils understand the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and the importance of attending the Holy Mass with love and respect.

The talk gave pupils a moment to listen, reflect, and grow in faith. It reminded them of the value of prayer, kindness, and living with Christian values every day.

This activity is part of the school’s continuing mission to nurture learners holistically in mind, heart, and spirit.

Theresians engage in the kick-off celebration for nutrition and mental health month with the theme "Holistic Health: Prioritizing Nutrition for a Resilient Mind" on July 03, 2025 held at the school's covered court.

Facilitated by the Peer Facilitators Club, students engaged in fun trivia and facts before concluding the celebration with their high-energy energizer dance.

This event highlights the importance of taking care of our mental and physical well-being; remember to eat your vegetables and carry positivity everyday.

The School Principal, Madam Thelma S. Parungao, gathered all the officers from different clubs and organizations for a Leadership Practices Orientation on July 2, held at the school’s covered court to enhance the students’ leadership skills and remind them of their responsibilities.

The orientation emphasized the school's vision, mission, and core values, which Madam Parungao labeled as an essential foundation of effective leadership. She noted that "you cannot achieve your vision without accomplishing the mission”.

In order to ensure that student leaders are aware of the requirements associated with their roles, Madam Parungao also went over the school's disciplinary procedures and their associated sanctions.

A highlight of the session was her presentation of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership by James Kouzes and Barry Posner. These are:

Model the Way – leading by example and setting the standard;
Inspire a Shared Vision – motivating others with a clear and exciting direction;
Challenge the Process – being open to innovation and improvements;
Enable Others to Act – building trust and fostering collaboration; and
Encourage the Heart – Recognizing Efforts and Celebrating Achievements.

Madam Parungao concluded the orientation by asking the students to recall what they had learned throughout her talk and use it to lead with purpose and become role models for the other students to follow.

St. Theresitas School of Tabuk—matagumpay na nagdiwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa isang makabuluhang kulminasiyon, na ginanap noong Hunyo 20 na may temang: "Sa bawat hakbang ng Kabataan, may tunog ng Kalayaan".

Nagsimula ito sa seremonya ng pagtaas ng watawat at ang pag awit sa "Bayan kong Mahal", kung saan iwinawagayway ng mga mag aaral ang mga hawak nilang watawat ng Pilipinas.

Sinundan naman ito ng isang mensahe mula kay Ginoong Ace Gacutan, kung saan kanyang iminungkahi na ang kabataan ang bagong sigaw ng bayan—malakas, matapang, at may dangal, isinunod niya rito ang isang mensaheng nagbibigay-sigla at isang kasabihang nagsasabing: “Ang kabataan, malaya sa isip, salita, at gawa—siya ang tunay na pag-asa ng bayan.”

Ang pangunahing tampok ng Culmination Day ay ang pagtatanghal ng isang sayaw ng mga estudyante mula sa elementarya, na sinabayan naman ng mga mag-aaral mula sa sekondarya. Kasunod nito ay ang isinagawang Araw ng Kalayaan Quiz Bee na inihanda ng KaBayani Society.

Bago ang patimpalak, nagsagawa muna ng elimination round noong Hunyo 13 sa kani-kanilang klase upang matukoy ang mga kalahok sa final round. Naipamalas din ng mga estudyante ang kanilang talento sa sining sa pamamagitan ng paglikha ng mga likhang-sining para sa Anino ng Kalayaan, mga poster na sumasalamin sa diwa ng Kalayaan, na ginawa rin noong Hunyo 13; ang mga napiling guhit ay ipinaskil sa harapan ng entablado.

Ang mga kalahok sa Quiz Bee ay mula sa Baitang 7 hanggang Baitang 12. Sa labintatlong kalahok sa patimpalak, limang grupo ang kinilala at binigyan ng parangal. Nanguna ang Baitang 12 – St. John the Evangelist na nakakuha ng 74 na puntos. Pumangalawa ang Baitang 10 – St. Ignatius of Loyola na may 61 puntos, sinundan ng Baitang 9 – St. Benedict na may 58 puntos. Pang-apat ang Baitang 8 – St. Jerome na may 57 puntos, at panlima ang Baitang 11 – St. Lorenzo Ruiz na may 55 puntos.

Ang culmination day ay isang matagumpay na okasyon, na nag-iwan ng isang impresyon sa mga estudyante, g**o, at kawani ng St. Theresitas School of Tabuk. Nagsilbi itong isang makapangyarihang paalala sa kahalagahan ng pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan at pag-uugit sa mga halaga ng pagmamahal sa bayan at pambansang pagmamalaki.

The Holy Spirit Mass was more than just a celebration it was a powerful reminder that with faith and unity, guided by the Spirit, the STS Tabuk family can accomplish great things.

On June 20, 2025, the Theresian community of St. Theresita’s School of Tabuk, Inc. gathered at St. Joseph Parish Church for a solemn and spirit-filled Holy Spirit Mass, officially marking the beginning of the new academic year.

The entire school students, pupils, teaching and non-teaching personnel united in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to bless and guide them throughout the year. This cherished tradition affirms that while each individual has unique roles and talents, it is the Holy Spirit who brings unity, strength, and purpose to the community.

The celebration began with a Procession of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, symbolically represented by student leaders and selected teachers. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Roman A. Macaiba, Jr. emphasized that while each of us has different gifts and roles, it is the Holy Spirit who unites us as one Theresian family.

“The Holy Spirit teaches, guides, strengthens, and empowers us to use our gifts for the good of all,” shared Fr. Roman.

Following the Mass was the Induction of Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel. With hearts renewed in faith and mission, the faculty and staff pledged to serve with compassion, dedication, and excellence.

This was followed by the Induction of Pupils and Student Officers from various school organizations and classroom leadership roles. The newly appointed leaders vowed to carry out their responsibilities with humility, commitment, and integrity embodying the core values of servant leadership.

The Eucharistic Celebration served as both a spiritual renewal and a joyful welcome to the 2025–2026 school year. With hearts full of hope and faith, the STS Tabuk community steps forward ready to learn, lead, and love.

After days of campaign and anticipation, the newly elected officers of St. Theresita’s School of Tabuk, Inc. have been officially announced. The Student Body Organization held its election on June 18, 2025, alongside the elections for various clubs and organizations.

Each of these leaders has visions, qualities, and ideas to contribute to the improvement of our school; they are expected to serve with passion and to become the voices of the students.

The elections were supervised by the organization’s respective advisers: Mr. Joey Galong for the SBO, Ms. Jessa Mae Dela Cruz for YES-O, Mr. Orville Balla-ao for the Campus Ministry, Ms. Shannon Banatao for the KaBayani Society, Ms. Rose Angelu Bowat for the MAS Society, Ms. Diwata Baglinit for the ELITE Society, Mr. Marvin Galano and Mr. Jestony Dinnayan for the VIPER Sports Club, and Ms. Medina Daluson for the Red Cross Youth Council.
