Sa ngalan ng mamamayang Pilipino, nais ipahatid ng 𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐔𝐆 ang taos pusong pasasalamat sa ating Korte Suprema sa unanimous decision nito na nag-uutos sa Marcos administration na agarang ibalik ng 𝐏𝟔𝟎𝐁 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐒 na nagmula sa pribadong contribution ng mga ordinaryo at manggagawang Pilipino.

Bagamat nanaig ang 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐀𝐖, pinayaman ang ating pilosopiya at agham ng batas, kulang at hindi pa tapos ang ating hiling na 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 hanggat hindi napapanagot ang lahat ng may kinalaman at nakinabang sa paglustay ng pondong ito.

Hindi dapat at hindi maari na taxpayers money ang gagamiting pansauli sa ninakaw na pondo mula sa mga private monthly contribution ng mga miyembro. Sa ganitong uri ng restitution, 𝐃𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐖 at paggisa sa ating sariling mga mantika ang magaganap kung mula sa available funds ng 2026 national budget kukunin ang P60B ninakaw.

Kulang ang 2026 national budget kung tutuusin at lalo lang madidiin sa kahirapan ang karamihan na mga may pangangailangan sa aspeto ng health, social services, edukasyon, at malnutrisyon kung tayo mga biktima pa rin ang pagbabayarin sa mga ninakaw ng Marcos administration.

Sa aming paggabay sa paghubog ng inyong kamulatan sa mga napapanahon at mahalagang usaping panlipunan, mag-iiwan po kami ng katanungan na inyong pagnilayan at malalim na pag-isipan:

Puwede palang magnakaw mula sa kaban ng bayan at pag nahuli, magsasauli ang mga nagnakaw gamit ang pera mula pa rin sa kaban ng bayan?

- In February 1986, following the EDSA People Power Revolution that ousted President Ferdinand Marcos, Corazon Aquino assumed power as President of the Philippines through a revolutionary government.

- On March 20, 1986, President Corazon Aquino appointed local officers-in-charge (OICs) nationwide to replace officials associated with the Marcos regime. In Davao City, Aquino appointed Zafiro Respicio as OIC Mayor and Rodrigo Duterte as OIC Vice Mayor.

- Duterte had previously served as an assistant city fiscal (prosecutor) in Davao City from 1977 to 1986 and had briefly been a special counsel in the city prosecutor’s office during the early years of martial law.

- The 1987 Philippine Constitution, ratified on February 2, 1987, restored elective local government positions and set the first synchronized local elections for January 18, 1988.

- In the January 18, 1988 local elections, Rodrigo Duterte ran for mayor of Davao City under the banner of the Lakas ng Dabaw coalition allied with Aquino’s Lakas ng Bansa. He defeated the incumbent OIC Mayor Zafiro Respicio and former mayor Elias B. Lopez, among others.

- Duterte was proclaimed mayor on February 2, 1988, and served his first full three-year term from 1988 to 1992.

- He was re-elected mayor in 1992 (term 1992–1995) and again in 1995 (term 1995–1998).

- The 1987 Constitution initially limited local officials to three consecutive terms. After completing three consecutive terms (1988–1998), Duterte was constitutionally barred from running for mayor again in 1998.

- In 1998, he ran for and won a seat in the House of Representatives representing Davao City’s 1st District, serving from 1998 to 2001.

- In 2001, he returned to Davao City and was elected mayor again (term 2001–2004, 2004–2007, 2007–2010).

- After reaching the new three-term limit again in 2010, he ran for vice mayor in 2010 and won, swapping positions with his long-time ally Inday Sara Duterte, who ran for mayor.

- In 2013, he ran for mayor again and was re-elected (term 2013–2016), after which he ran for and won the presidency of the Philippines in May 2016.

Thus, Rodrigo Duterte served as mayor of Davao City for a total of seven terms (22 years): 1988–1998, 2001–2010, and 2013–2016, plus his initial appointment as OIC Vice Mayor in 1986.

PAALALA NI SEC. REMULLA SA MGA NAGPAPA-HAYAG NG OPINYON

Nagbigay ng paalala si Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla hinggil sa mga pahayag na may kinalaman sa panawagan para sa pagbibitiw ng pangulo. Ayon sa kanya, may ilang salita na maaaring umabot sa paglabag sa batas kung magdudulot ito ng kaguluhan sa lipunan.

Binanggit ng kalihim na kinikilala ng bansa ang kalayaan sa pagpapahayag, pero hindi ito nangangahulugang walang limitasyon ang paggamit nito lalo na kung may posibilidad na makasama sa kapayapaan at kaayusan.

“That’s close to inciting to sedition, so i-investigate namin sila. Ang mga ganitong salita has no place in a civil society, may hangganan ang freedom of expression, mga ganitong salita pwede kitang ipakulong” pahayag ni Remulla.

Nilinaw niyang anumang hakbang ay dadaan pa rin sa proseso ng pag-imbestiga upang matiyak na nasusunod ang batas at tamang proseso sa bawat sitwasyon.

Giit niya, ang kalayaan sa paglalabas ng opinyon ay may kaakibat na pananagutan, kaya dapat gamitin nang maingat at ayon sa umiiral na batas.

Remember when she exposed kung paano binababoy ng Marcos administration ang budget ng Pilipinas? People mocked her. Tinawag siyang “lukaret,” “unhinged,” “fiona,” at kung anu-ano pang insulto.
But she never flinched.
Even when the kakampinks, the NPAs in Congress and their enablers, and the Marcos loyalists ganged up on her, she pushed forward with her exposé and bravely confronted the giant crocodiles in government.
Remember when she said that the entire national budget was controlled by just two people — Zaldy Co and Martin Romualdez?
Instead of listening, you impeached her, harassed her OVP staff, and filed multiple cases against her.
But time is the ultimate truth-teller.
Today, Zaldy Co himself is confirming the very same system that VP Sara had already exposed from the start.
She was right.
She is the president.
