Numerous activities continue to unfold in celebration of LVDโ€™s 20th Founding Anniversary on February 19 and 20, 2026, building anticipation as the much-awaited Family Day event draws near.

A series of stalls, booths, and competitions such as e-sports, laro ng lahi, and physical sports have kept the Divinian spirit alive throughout the week-long festivities. Divinians actively participated in various events that highlighted unity, talent, and gratitude for two decades of growth and excellence.

As the celebration progresses, excitement mounts for Family Day โ€” a culminating event expected to strengthen bonds among members of the LVD community and honor the institutionโ€™s enduring legacy.

LVD officially commenced its week-long celebration of its 20th Founding Anniversary on February 18, 2026, at the LVD Gymnasium.

The opening ceremony was marked by the symbolic lighting of the torch by Divinian regional and national sports qualifiers, signifying unity, excellence, and school pride.

The celebration was formally declared open by Fr. Jose Marie L. Pareja, SVD, PhD, who welcomed students, faculty, and guests as the institution began its milestone festivities.

Adding to the excitement of the day, the Mister and Miss LVD 2026 candidates paraded through the downtown roads of Tacloban City in a vibrant motorcade. Accompanied by their families, friends, and supporters, the candidates were warmly received by the community as they showcased confidence and school spirit.

The anniversary celebration also featured the kickoff of various activities, including Literary Musical Part 1, E-sports competitions, and other engaging events that highlighted the diverse talents and camaraderie of the Divinian community.

The much-anticipated Mr. and Ms. LVD 2026 dazzled the audience at Fr. Eugene Stoll, SVD Memorial Gymnasium, exhibiting the talent, beauty, and intelligence of the candidates.

The event began with a dance performance by LVD's dance troupe along with the previous Ms. and Mr. LVD 2025, followed by the formal introduction of the candidates.

Five esteemed judges were invited to evaluate the participant's worthiness of becoming the next Mr. and Ms. LVD, namely Mr. Ian Insigne, Ms. Margarette Nicole Odiver, and Atty. Marl Jeric Robillos, Erich Ocenar, and the judge chairman, Ms. Denise E. Armamento, a Miss Universe Leyte finalist.

An intermission number by LVD teachers, Ms. Maevilline Gerones, and Ms. Divina Padong followed, showcasing their singing talent.

As the event progressed, each representative took the stage, highlighting the respective animals of their team in the costume portion: ASPAC as swans, AFRAM as elephants, EUROPE as deer, and PANAM as panthers.

The program continued with the awarding of minor titles, recognizing outstanding personalities among the candidates.

Followed by special performances from reigning titleholders, including Ms. LVD 2025 Nichole Grace Navarette, who impressed the crowd with her singing, and Mr. LVD 2025 JB Bugho, who delivered a captivating piano performance.

Candidates then showcased their elegance during the Modern Filipiniana gown and Modern barong segment before proceeding to the second set of minor awards.

One of the most awaited parts of the event, the question and answer portion, followed, featuring that as candidates, they not only rely on their beauty but on their brains as well.

Succeeding that is the evening gown portion wherein all candidates captivated the audience with their attire and elegance as they walked through the stage.

Finally, the last half of the Q&A concluded as the candidates delivered insightful responses, and the previous Ms. and Mr. LVD signed off with a heartfelt life story, inspiring the audience and the contestants.

At long last, the crown of Mr. and Ms. LVD went to Arjade Corpin and Clarrise De la Cruz of team ASPAC.

The Mr. and Ms. LVD Talent Show was held at the VOR Hall on February 13, 2026, drawing an enthusiastic crowd eager to witness the candidates showcase their talents and creativity. From dancing and singing to other performances, the stage was alive with energy as each candidate took the spotlight.

The program began with a prayer performed through an interpretive dance by the Grade 7 students, followed by a lively opening performance from the LVD Dance Troupe. During this number, the candidates made their entrance, representing their respective teams.

The event was hosted by Mr. Dexter Corales and Ms. Khamila Adobo. Judges Mr. Lourd Ive Visbal, Ms. Juztine Dominic Aguillon, and Mr. Mark Kim Herbon evaluated the performances using a structured rubric focused on talent, creativity, and stage presence.

Former Divinian Places 6th in December 2025 Radiologic Technologists Licensure Examination

Liceo del Verbo Divino, Inc. marked a significant milestone following the achievement of one of its former students in the recent Radiologic Technologists Licensure Examination.

Arden Jianne Primer Salas, a former Divinian and a graduate of Cebu Doctorsโ€™ University, placed 6th nationwide in the December 2025 Radiologic Technologists Examinations, according to released examination results.

The achievement adds to the growing list of professional accomplishments credited to former students of Liceo del Verbo Divino, reflecting the institutionโ€™s continued commitment to academic excellence and professional formation.
