𝗗𝗮𝘆 3 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 25𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The afternoon of Day 3 of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban Inc.'s 25th Founding Anniversary Celebration commenced with an inspirational message from Sr. Mary Frances Dizon, OSB, School President with the alumni, school personnel, and faculty gathered at St. Ottillien Hall on June 5, 2025.

Dr. Antonio E. Lim, Jr., RMT, PhD, FPASMAP, Chairperson of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Director for Research, then recited an original poem detailing SSCTI's humble beginnings.

Following this, Ms. Lutheshane E. Luciano, an alumna of the Pharmacy Department delivered a captivating performance of her composed jubilee song titled "One Scholastican", together with Ms. Nicoleigh Lagartos.

A video presentation, "St. Scholastica Through the 25 Years," was then shown, chronicling the institution's many trials and triumphs.

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the Pillars of the Institution by Dr. Wilfredo S. Israel Jr., RN, RM, MAN, FRIN, and Sr. Mary Frances Dizon, OSB. This was followed by video greetings from former employees and students.

The school faculty and staff showcased their talents through dance and song performances. After that, the silver anniversary dinner then began.

To officially close the three-day celebration, Dr. Israel delivered heartfelt closing remarks "As we end this chapter of our Jubilee celebration, may we continue to move forward together as one SSCTI community with faith, with unity, and with the unthinkable spirit of Ora et Labora." he expressed.

The third day of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban Inc.'s 25th Founding Anniversary Celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Marie Pareja, SVD and joined by students, teachers, school personnel, and the Benedictine Sisters at the St. Otillien Hall, on June 5, 2025.

Following the spiritual gathering, the morning transformed into a vibrant "Tapestry of Talent." Students from the Basic Education Department (BED) and various college departments showcased their mastery in singing and dancing, captivating the audience. Parents were notably present, offering enthusiastic support for the young performers.

As the morning celebration ends, it did not only highlight the diverse talents of the students of SSCTI but it also captured the spirit of faith, celebration and unity that defines the benidictine values.

Every year, on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡, Filipinos gather to commemorate the end of 333 years of Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is a day to celebrate the resilience, strength, and solidarity of the Filipino people. Today, we revel in the 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 of the heroes who fought valiantly for the freedom of our nation. It serves as a reminder to honor all the people of our country for the sacrifices they made for 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆–𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔.

A day to reflect on how far our nation has progressed. It stands as a testament to the unbroken 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁. One that continues to burn nonstop even in the face of adversity, one that can never be extinguished.

May we always be free to express ourselves and continue to fight for our country's future. Let us remember that 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒐𝒎 is one of the souls of our nation, earned by our ancestors and national heroes from fighting for our freedom with their pens and swords to securing our liberation.

Let us recollect the past, rejoice at the present, and envision a future guided by unity, progress, and most of all, the unshakeable love for our nation.

Scholasticans came together for the second day of celebrations in comemmoration of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban, Inc. (SSCTI)'s 25th Founding Anniversary, June 04, 2025.

The day began with a prayer service held at St. Ottilien Hall.

The spirit of celebration was displayed all around as Scholasticans from all departments participated in Silver Wheels: SSCTI's 25th Anniversary Motorcade.

The motorcade included Scholasticans from the Grade School Unit, High School Unit, Nursing Dept., Medical Laboratory Science Dept., Psychology Dept., Pharmacy Dept., SSCTI Alumni Association, and General Parent-Teacher Association.

The Exhibit, Memorabilia, and Employees Bazaar was open for the rest of the day for viewing.

St. Scholastica’s College Tacloban, Inc. (SSCTI) marked the first day of its 25th Founding Anniversary with an insightful educational lecture on Public Health at the St. Ottilien Hall, June 3, 2025.

The program began with the opening remarks from Dr. Wilfredo Israel, Jr., RN, RM, MAN, FRIN, Dean of College.

Mr. John Nicole Cabornay then introduced the keynote speaker, Dr. Antonio E. Lim, Jr., RMT, PhD, FPASMAP, Chairperson of the Dept. of Medical Laboratory Science and Director for Research.

Dr. Lim delivered a comprehensive lecture on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). He highlighted their significant impact in tropical regions and the ongoing challenges in addressing these often-overlooked public health concerns, emphasizing the need for increased awareness, research, and collaborative efforts.

The event also featured a session on Traditional and Complementary Integrative Medicine, where Ms. Josephine L. Hipe discussed various complementary health approaches and their relevance in modern healthcare practices.

This celebration not only honored SSCTI’s enduring legacy in education but also reinforced its commitment to advancing health awareness and education within the community.

Following a spirited fun walk, the program continued with a heartfelt poem recital by Dr. Antonio Lim, Jr. His original work beautifully narrated the school's journey and growth, emphasizing how shared hard work and patience have been instrumental in its development. The core message resonated: through hard work and patience, anything is possible.

Next, Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, delivered an inspiring speech. Her poignant words encouraged students and staff to further uphold the values of stewardship in all their endeavors. This message seamlessly transitioned into the subsequent session: a talk on "Strengthening Our Stewardship Through Waste Segregation & Environmental Care," led by Engr. Mharc Jonaelle R. Son.

Engr. Son highlighted the profound impact of seemingly small daily routines, stating, "Let's start with something simple but powerful, waste segregation."

The morning's activities concluded with a meaningful tree planting ceremony, where students collaborated to plant trees alongside a time capsule, symbolizing hope and growth for the future.

The fun walk transformed the route into a dynamic spectacle of color, as participants were showered with vibrant powders at various stations along the way.

This spirited display perfectly captured the festive mood of the occasion.

As the walk concluded, the air was filled with visible laughter and smiles, a testament to the joyous atmosphere created by the participants.

With this energetic start, the rest of the day's scheduled anniversary activities continued, promising a memorable celebration.

St. Scholastica's College Tacloban, Inc. (SSCTI) held its annual Recognition Ceremony, honoring the achievements of its Basic Education Department (BED) Grade School pupils from the academic year 2024–2025 at St. Ottilien Hall, on May 30, 2025.

The ceremony highlighted students' academic accomplishments as they prepare for their next journey.

The celebration began with a Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Patricio de los Reyes, SVD, who emphasized the value of gratitude in his homily.

Following the Philippine National Anthem, Myrnel Zane M. Petilos, a Grade 4 awardee, delivered a heartfelt welcome address. "Today is a reminder of how far we have been together; let's celebrate this day with joy and gratitude," she shared, encouraging her fellow students to cherish their shared moments.

Mrs. Rose Ann I. Vocis, LPT, the Grade School Academic Coordinator, then outlined the Criteria for Honors and Academic Achievers, underscoring the institution's commitment to its standards and values.

Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, Principal of the Basic Education Department, along with Mrs. Vocis, presented honors and special recognition to Grades 1-3. The primary pupils then performed an intermission number.

The awarding ceremony for the intermediate level (Grades 4-5) followed, also led by Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, and Mrs. Vocis. Selected pupils from these grades then showcased their own intermission number.

As the event concluded, Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon delivered her closing remarks, reminding the Grade School pupils that this recognition day marked not an end, but the beginning of a new chapter in their school lives. Grade 5 awardee Micey A. Llamelo offered a closing prayer, followed by the singing of the College Hymn.

The ceremony successfully celebrated the hard work and accomplishments of these young achievers, providing meaningful encouragement as they embark on their new beginnings.
