OSANG NATIKLO HIN PAGTAGA ILLEGAL NGA DROGA HA PALO, LEYTE

PALO, LEYTE – A joint anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Palo Municipal Police Station led by PCPT FIDEL M TRISTE JR, OIC, and Leyte Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) headed by PMAJ GWEN ALISON C CORREGIDOR, under the direct supervision of PCOL CERELENO M SACRO JR., OIC Provincial Director of LPPO, led to the arrest of a female drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Zone Saturn, Barangay Pawing, Palo, Leyte at around 9:33 PM on May 24, 2026.

The suspect identified as alias “Osang,” Street Level Individual (SLI), legal age, unemployed, and a resident of Zone Saturn, Barangay Pawing, Palo, Leyte. A poseur-buyer was able to purchased one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu.”

Confiscated from alias “Osang” were one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one (1) black coin purse, and one (1) marked ₱500 buy-bust money. The confiscated items had an estimated total weight of approximately 2.01 grams and an estimated market value of ₱13, 668.00.

The suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine. Proper marking, inventory, and documentation of the seized evidence were conducted at the place of arrest in the presence of an elected barangay official and a media representative, in compliance with legal requirements.
The confiscated items will be submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit 8, Campetic, Palo, Leyte, for qualitative examination.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Palo MPS for filing of appropriate charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). | PR
