As I grow older, I’ve learned that happiness isn’t always about what happens to me.

Sometimes, it’s in seeing the people around me finally become happy with their own lives. Seeing someone find the love they deserve, achieve something they’ve worked so hard for, travel to places they once only dreamed of, or simply wake up feeling at peace with where they are.

There was a time when someone else’s happiness could make me question my own life—wondering if I was falling behind, if I should be doing more, or if I should already have the things they have.

But growing older teaches you that everyone has their own timeline.

You learn to stop comparing your chapter to someone else’s highlight. You learn to genuinely celebrate people without feeling like their success takes anything away from yours.

And maybe that’s one of the quietest signs of growing up—when you can look at someone living a beautiful life and instead of asking, “When will it be my turn?” you simply smile and think, “I’m happy that life is finally being good to you.”

There’s a different kind of peace in that.

A happiness that doesn’t come from having more, but from being content enough to celebrate the happiness of others while patiently waiting for your own. 🤍

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how quietly life changes.

We always believe there will be another chance to relive a moment, another day to say what we didn’t say, another opportunity to hold on a little longer. But time doesn’t work that way. It keeps moving, carrying every laugh, every conversation, every ordinary afternoon further away from us.

Maybe that’s why memories ache. Not because they were perfect, but because we know we can never step back into them exactly as they were.

One day, this moment—this version of me, the people around me, the places I know, and the life I’m living now—will only exist in my memory.

So today, I’ll try to notice the little things. I’ll take the photo, stay a little longer, and be grateful for what I have while it’s still here.

Because time has never learned how to turn around, and all we can really do is love the moment before it becomes a memory.🤍

The sun doesn’t apologize for setting. It doesn’t overthink if it did enough today. It just dips below the horizon and rests. Watching this sky made me realize I’m allowed to do the same. Ending the day isn’t failure. It’s how we make space for tomorrow.

Rainbows are like life's reminders that balance exists – light and dark, rain and shine 🌈. Maybe we're all just searching for our own colors to shine through life's mess. What's your color?

Life is unpredictable, and that truth doesn’t arrive gently. It shows up in moments we never prepare for, when everything we thought was stable suddenly feels fragile. We move through life assuming we’ll always have another chance—to speak, to hold, to be there. We never think about how just these hands could one day be the difference between presence and absence.

These hands do so many ordinary things every day without us noticing. They reach for doorknobs, hold phones, brush past people we love. They seem small, insignificant, until the moment we realize how much they mattered. How one touch could have been comfort. How one hold could have meant goodbye. How doing nothing at all can sometimes hurt more than doing the wrong thing.

There are nights when the weight of that realization settles in. When you replay moments over and over, wondering if things would feel different if these hands had moved sooner, if they had stayed longer, if they had held on just a little tighter. Regret doesn’t shout—it sits quietly, reminding you of what can no longer be changed.

Life doesn’t give clear lessons. It teaches through loss, through silence, through the absence of what once felt permanent. And suddenly, these hands feel heavier, filled with memories they can no longer reach. They remember warmth, closeness, and moments that ended too soon.

In the end, all you’re left with is the understanding that life is fragile, time is unforgiving, and love is something that must be held while it’s still within reach. Because once the moment passes, these hands can only remember what they failed to hold.
