TACEA Kicks Off New Term with ExeCoR Meeting, Gears Up for Talakudong Festival and LIPS

TACURONG CITY – The Tacurong City Employees Association (TACEA) has officially begun its new term, holding its first Executive Committee (ExeCoR) meeting with its new set of officers and Council of Representatives. Led by TACEA President Ms. Yvonne S. Bautista, the meeting served as a platform to outline upcoming activities and address key concerns.

Among the highlights of the discussion was TACEA's role in the upcoming 25th Talakudong Festival. In a promising start for the new leadership, the association will spearhead the "Kantahan ng Kabataan" event, a significant contribution to the city's annual celebration.

The meeting also focused on the preparation for the LGU Inter-office Palaro and Socio-Cultural (LIPS), on October 23-24, 2025. This highly anticipated event fosters camaraderie and sportsmanship among city government employees.

Additionally, the ExeCoR meeting addressed various issues and concerns that were raised during the recent TACEA General Assembly, ensuring that the new administration is responsive to the needs and welfare of its members.

TACEA Holds Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Elected Officers

TACURONG CITY - The Tacurong City Employees Association (TACEA) conducted its oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected officers last Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Tacurong City Cultural and Sports Center.

The oath was administered by the Honorable Mayor Lina O. Montilla, PhD.
Mayor Montilla congratulated the new set of officers during her address and pledged to collaborate with the association for the benefit and welfare of the city's employees.

The assembly was graced by City Mayor Lina O. Montilla, PhD, who served as the esteemed guest speaker. During her address, she reiterated her unwavering commitment to the association. TACEA Officers Pay Courtesy Call to Tacurong City's Top Leaders

Tacurong City Makes History with Two Women Leading the City as New Officials Take Oath, 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod Inaugurated

Tacurong City, June 30, 2025 – A new chapter for Tacurong City began today as its newly elected officials formally took their oath of office, marking a historic moment with two women at the helm of the city's leadership.
The momentous event, which also inaugurated the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod, took place at 7:30 AM at the City Cultural and Sports Center.

Leading this new and significant administration is Mayor Hon. Lina O. Montilla, PhD., who reiterated her commitment to good governance. "Maayo, patas kag sensero nga pang ginobyerno," Mayor Montilla stated, emphasizing her vision for a government that is good, fair, and sincere.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved colleague, Sonyflor Erosido, Tata as we call him, in the city government of Tacurong. The senseless act of violence that took Tata from us is truly devastating, and our thoughts and prayers are with Tata's family during this incredibly difficult time.

Tata was not just a colleague; He is a valued member and a dear friend to many of us. His dedication, kindness, and positive spirit will be deeply missed. Our community has lost a shining light, and we are left to mourn a life taken too soon.

Let us come together to condemn all forms of violence and work towards creating a safer and more just world for everyone. In memory of Tata, let us honor his legacy by spreading kindness, compassion, and understanding wherever we go.

Exciting News Update!

Did you know that on July 21, 2000, a group of dedicated public sector employees of tacurong came together and formed an association known as TAMEA? Their commitment to serving the association was truly inspiring!

As Tacurong Municipal evolved into a city, this employees association underwent a significant transformation and was renamed TACEA.

And now, we are thrilled to announce that TACEA has officially completed its registration process with the Department of Labor and Employment!!! This is a big milestone for all of us, and we are grateful for the continued support and dedication of our members.

Cheers to the journey ahead as we continue to grow and serve our organization with passion and excellence!
