                                            โ ๏ธ EARTHQUAKE UPDATE & CLASS ADVISORY โ ๏ธ
At 1:06 AM today (Monday, October 13, 2025), a magnitude 5.8โ6.0 earthquake struck 11 kilometers southwest of Bogo City, Cebu at a depth of 5 kilometers, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
PHIVOLCS confirmed that this event was an aftershock of the September 30, 2025 magnitude 6.9 earthquake off the coast of Northern Cebu.
๐ Reported Intensities:
 โข Intensity 5 (Strong Shaking): Bogo, Tabuelan, Tabogon, San Remigio, Medellin, Daanbantayan, Cebu
 โข Intensity 4 : Bantayan, Catmon, Sogod, Tuburan, Cebu; Iloilo City; Roxas City, Capiz
 โข Intensity 3 : TAGBILARAN CITY (Bohol)
๐ Situation in Tagbilaran City:
The earthquake was felt with light to moderate shaking. As of this moment, no major damage or injuries have been reported in Tagbilaran City. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) is closely monitoring barangays and coordinating with schools for safety assessments.
๐ CLASS ADVISORY:
In the interest of public safety, FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES in all levels (public and private) are SUSPENDED on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Learning shall continue using ALTERNATIVE MODES โ synchronous/asynchronous online classes or modular learning โ so our students can keep learning safely at home.

 โข The City Engineering Office and CDRRMO are performing inspections on school buildings and public structures.
 โข All schools are mandated to review their disaster preparedness plans and conduct earthquake drills to strengthen readiness.
 โข Private establishments are also advised to inspect structures and coordinate with the City Engineering Office if necessary.

Parents, please be responsible in reminding your children to STAY AT HOME. This is not a vacation, but a precautionary measure for everyoneโs safety.
