𝗣𝗜𝗔𝗧-𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟳

PIAT-Tagkawayan is set to open classes for its college department on July 27, 2026, covering sections DHST-2, DTTS-3, and DHST-3.

The administration has reminded incoming students to prepare for the resumption of face-to-face classes and to observe all school policies as the new semester begins.

The opening of classes marks the official start of the academic year for the college department.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗦𝗦𝗚 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 '𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗜𝗔𝗧' 𝘃𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵

The Supreme Student Government (SSG) of PIAT-Tagkawayan is set to launch "Gulayan sa PIAT," a two-day vegetable fair in observance of Nutrition Month, on July 20–21, 2026.

The activity will be held at the PIAT Back Office, which will be transformed into a market featuring fresh vegetables, gulay-based dishes, seedlings, and other produce — all prepared and sold by Senior High School and college students.

According to the SSG, the fair also aims to support students from farming families by allowing them to showcase and sell their harvests while earning extra income.

The SSG invites students, teachers, staff, and members of the Tagkawayan community to support the student entrepreneurs and take part in the celebration. Classes will proceed as scheduled, and students may visit the fair during their breaks or free time.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗣𝗜𝗔𝗧-𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗖 𝗜𝗜 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Third-year students of PIAT-Tagkawayan have successfully passed the National Certificate II in Cookery, adding a professional qualification to their credentials in the hospitality and food service sector.

The passers come from two programs: the Industrial Education – Hospitality and Restaurant Services (IEHRS) and the Diploma in Hospitality Services and Technology (DHST). Both programs fall under the institute's technical-vocational track, which aims to equip students with industry-recognized skills.

In its official announcement, the PIAT-Tagkawayan administration expressed pride in the students' achievement, noting that the certification reflects their dedication and competence in the culinary arts.

The NC II in Cookery is a TESDA-accredited assessment that certifies an individual's proficiency in preparing various dishes, managing kitchen operations, and observing food safety and sanitation standards.

The achievement is part of the institute's continuing effort to produce graduates who are skilled, equipped, and globally competitive.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗣𝗜𝗔𝗧-𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀

PIAT-Tagkawayan has intensified its security protocols in light of recent news reports involving violence against children, some of which occurred within school premises.

According to an official statement from the administration, rigorous inspections are now being carried out regularly to ensure that the campus remains safe, secure, and free from any form of violence. The school emphasized that student well-being continues to be its top priority.

The administration also assured students and parents that it remains fully committed to keeping PIAT-Tagkawayan a safe haven for learning and growth.
