Paalala ng Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group sa mga uri ng SCAM

1. Online shopping scams involve scammers pretending to be legitimate online sellers, either with a fake website or a fake ad on a genuine retailer site.

2. Nigerian scams involve someone overseas offering you a share in a large sum of money or a payment on the condition you help them to transfer money out of their country. While these scams originated in Nigeria, they now come from all over the world.

3. Inheritance scams offer you the false promise of an inheritance to trick you into parting with your money or sharing your bank or credit card details.

4. Overpayment scams work by getting you to ‘refund’ a scammer who has sent you too much money for an item you are selling.

5. Rebate scams try to convince you that you are entitled to a rebate or reimbursement from the government, a bank or trusted organization.
