𝟒𝐓𝐇 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒀 2025 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒘𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍 (𝑵𝑺𝑬𝑫)

On November 06, 2025, at 9:00 AM Onwards, DMFB SPD personnel under the leadership of PLTCOL RICKY C SUMALDE, Acting Force Commander, actively participated in the conduct of the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at the SPD Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

As part of the drill, all participants strictly observed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and efficiently executed the five essential phases of the earthquake response: 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐦, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞, 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭. Additionally, DMFB SPD personnel carried out the simulated rescue operations, demonstrating their preparedness and dedication for the effective disaster response.

PINAPAIGTING NG PNP ANG OPERASYON SA PAPALAPIT NA PASKO KASABAY NG PAGBABA NG KRIMEN

Sa papalapit na Kapaskuhan at mahabang bakasyon, pinapaigting ng Philippine National Police (PNP), sa pamumuno ni Acting Chief PNP Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ang mga hakbang upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng bawat Pilipino.

Alinsunod sa PNP Focused Agenda at sa layunin na “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” isinasagawa ng mga yunit ng pulisya sa buong bansa ang Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), pinapalakas ang presensya ng mga pulis, at maingat na inilalagay ang mga tauhan sa mga pampublikong lugar, transportasyon, komersyal na sentro, at iba pang mataong lugar upang bantayan at respondehan ang krimen.

“Ang presensiya ng pulisya ay hindi lamang nagbibigay katiyakan sa publiko kundi nagsisilbing panghadlang sa mga posibleng salarin upang hindi gumawa ng labag sa batas,” ani Acting Chief PNP Nartatez.

Patuloy rin ang Unified 911 emergency system sa pagbibigay ng mabilis at epektibong tulong sa mga komunidad, tinitiyak ang maagap na pagtugon sa anumang insidente.

“Mula Hunyo hanggang Oktubre 2025, ang walong pangunahing uri ng krimen na aming minomonitor ay nakapagtala ng pagbaba, na umabot sa kabuuang 14 porsyento sa buong bansa. Bagamat nag-iiba-iba ang mga trend ng krimen sa iba't ibang rehiyon, ipinapakita ng datos na ang aming preventive measures ay may positibong epekto,” dagdag pa ni PLTGen Nartatez.

Aniya pa, “Ang krimen ay pabago-bago, at maaaring magbago rin ang trend, ngunit hindi matitinag ang aming dedikasyon sa pagbibigay proteksyon at serbisyo. Bawat operasyon namin ay hindi lang para tumugon sa krimen, kundi para rin ito pigilan, lalo na ngayongparating na Kapaskuhan kung kailan marami sa ating mga kababayan ay abala at nasa labas ng kanilang mga tahanan.”

Nanawagan ang PNP sa publiko na maging mapagbantay, agad iulat ang anumang kahina-hinalang aktibidad o krimen, at makipagtulungan sa mga awtoridad.

Sa pamamagitan ng preventive measures, mabilis na pagtugon, at pakikipag-ugnayan sa komunidad, muling pinagtitibay ng PNP ang kanilang dedikasyon sa pagbibigay ng serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman ng bawat Pilipino.

PNP PRESS STATEMENT ON THE “BRING ME CHALLENGE” INCIDENT

The Philippine National Police (PNP) addresses the viral social media content known as the “Bring Me Challenge,” posted on October 31, 2025, by a police officer of the City of Talisay Police Station under the Cebu Police Provincial Office.

Although the video was intended for personal social media engagement, it was widely perceived as inappropriate and inconsistent with the professional standards expected of PNP personnel, particularly considering the sensitive nature of the PNP’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.

Upon learning of the post, the Chief of Police of Talisay City immediately advised the said police officer to remove the video to prevent further misunderstanding and potential damage to the image of the PNP. The personnel promptly complied. However, copies had already circulated online, drawing public attention and reaching the higher office.

An internal inquiry is being conducted to establish the facts surrounding the incident. The personnel involved has been temporarily assigned to another administrative post pending the outcome of the investigation and has been reminded of existing PNP policies on social media use and public communication.

The PNP stresses that all online activity by its personnel—whether personal or official—must reflect the conduct and operational procedures that guide the service to the public. Individual initiatives are valued, but they must always align with established rules, ethical guidelines, and responsibilities inherent in wearing the uniform.

This incident serves as a reminder to all members of the PNP to exercise prudence in social media use and to ensure that personal actions never compromise the honor and credibility of the Philippine National Police.
