It’s been a while since I dined out alone with the kids. Lately, it hasn’t been easy — Ethan sometimes stands up, leaves the table, or gets overwhelmed if he doesn’t like the place.
Today after his therapy, I decided to just dine out — something different. Paige and I were craving ramen (sawa na sa McDonald’s😅), but I was hesitant because Ethan only eats a limited variety of food. What if he doesn’t like it? What if he gets overwhelmed?
Despite what might happen, I decided to be brave.
When we got there, Ethan looked at the menu and said he wanted chashu. I double-checked, but he insisted. So I ordered it plain — no toppings.
He hapilly ate his food.
He ate everything🥹
He used his words.
He waited for us to finish.
He even waited patiently while we were paying.
So as a reward for walking nicely, waiting patiently, and using his words — we went to the Disney Store and Toy Kingdom. 💙
To some, it’s just dinner.
To me, it’s growth. It’s progress. It’s a BIG win. 💕✨
