The Technological University of the Philippines – Taguig Campus celebrates the excellence of our 8 newly licensed Master Plumbers in the recent July 2025 Master Plumber Board Exam on July 12-13, 2025. According to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), three working days after the last day of examination, a total of 8 out of 12 participants from the TUP-Taguig passed the Master Plumbing Licensure Exam.

Among the Examinees, 6 out of the 7 takers aced the exam on their first attempt, gaining a total of 85.71% passing rate, while 2 out of the 5 repeating examiners passed with a total of 40% passing rate. These performances translate to a total passing rate of 66.67%, surpassing the national passing rate of 57.79%. A significant accomplishment for the university's commitment to academic excellence.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗧𝗨𝗣 𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥: 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗔 12009

The Technological University of the Philippines - Taguig (TUP-T) successfully conducted its Pre-Planning Seminar: Budgeting and RA 12009 on July 8, 2025, at the Auditorium, IT Building. The event gathered staff, teaching faculty, USG representatives, and Artisan members for a full-day learning session on financial planning and modern procurement practices.

The morning session, led by Ms. Aileen A. Walath, Budget and Management Specialist II from DBM-NCR, covered essential topics like budgeting fundamentals, the budget cycle, and utilization trends. The afternoon session, facilitated by Mr. Al-Stephenson B. Lapastora from TUPTEA, focused on RA 12009, highlighting electronic procurement and new procurement modes.

The program began with remarks from Engr. Rexmelle F. Decapia, Jr., PhD. After the sessions, an open forum allowed participants to engage with the speakers, followed by certificate awarding for the resource speakers. The afternoon segment included a statement of purpose by Dr. Norway J. Pangan and concluded with closing remarks from Engr. Glenn N. Ortiz, PECE, ASEAN Eng, emphasizing the importance of compliance with up-to-date procurement laws.

The seminar not only equipped attendees with vital knowledge on budget management and latest procurement laws but also reinforced TUPT’s commitment to good governance and financial accountability.

A knowledge enrichment seminar hosted by the Manila Technician Institute Computer Society (MTICS) is currently ongoing in the I.T. Building Function Hall
“𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅: 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝑰” led by resource speakers from Gen AI Philippines, namely Mr. Arjay Rosel and Ms. Armielyn Obinguar.

The program opened with an inspiring message from the IT section head,
Mr. Julius Delfin A. Silang.

This seminar aims to explore deeper the power of Artificial Intelligence together with its promising future to the field of technology to our aspiring IT professionals

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃: 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

What a night to remember, indeed!

The Multipurpose Hall of TUP-Taguig came alive as students gathered for the much-awaited University CARABAND: Battle of the Bands, prepared by the University Student Government of TUP-Taguig (USGT) and sponsored by Pocari Sweat. The event began at 4:40 PM with warm opening remarks from Dr. Heherson P. Ramos, officially setting the stage for an evening filled with energy.

The battle kicked off with three talented university bands that gave it their all. 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝘀 opened the stage strongly, hyping up the atmosphere. Followed by 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮 who kept the energy high. Finally, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗵 swept the audience away with their heartfelt renditions of 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦, 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘰, and 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘫𝘢𝘩, making the students sway along to every beat.

Throughout the event, students were asked about their favorite band that performed. Though many were a little shy at first, they soon shared their excitement, showing support for the bands that made the night unforgettable.

As the night drew to a close, the winners were awarded:

🥇 Grand Winner – Bandwidth
🥈 2nd Place – Makinarya
🥉 3rd Place – Singkos

CARABAND 2025 was a night where music brought TUP-T together, lifted spirits, and reminded us all why moments like this matter!

𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗨𝗣-𝗧!

One of the biggest highlights of CARABAND 2025 was the special performance of 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰. Without a doubt, they left a mark on the entire crowd.

The moment Lily stepped on stage, something changed in the air. The noise from the crowd grew louder, and students started swaying their hands with flashlights on, ready for what was coming. Seconds later, the whole Multipurpose Hall came alive as everyone sang and jumped in their place like they had been waiting for that exact moment.

And Lily didn't hold back! The fire bursts lit up the stage, bubbles floated through the lights, and confetti rained down like it truly owned the event. But even with all that, what hit the most was how everyone — friends, classmates, staff, and even people who didn't know each other, shared that one big moment together.

At one point, Joshua, the vocalist, spoke to the crowd: “𝘗'𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘢𝘣𝘪, 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘢 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢?” And that's exactly what happened. For those few songs, no one thought about deadlines or worries. It was just pure fun — loud, wild, and full of life.

As the lights faded, one thing was clear: 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗨𝗣-𝗧 𝗮 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴!

The University Student Government of TUP-Taguig (USGT) is currently preparing for the battle of the bands that will be held at the TUP-T Multipurpose Hall, where various university bands will perform, each presenting their distinctive musical style and artistic expression.

A lineup of talented university bands will take the stage from 4:00 to 9:00 PM, showcasing their musical talents. Sponsored by Pocari Sweat, the event offers the winning band a coveted spot in the grand finals, with the opportunity to claim the prestigious title of Pocari Sweat University CaraBAND champion by year’s end.

This highly anticipated event will also feature special performances by Skygarden and Lily, promising unforgettable musical moments—so be sure not to miss it!

𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 21 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮.

𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟭 marks the 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 — the longest stretch of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere. But this isn’t just any solstice: it’s the earliest one recorded since 1796, thanks to the leap year’s effect on the calendar.

Earlier at 8 in the morning today, the Guidance and Counseling Office collaborated with the Taguig City Health Office, in the seminar that focuses on individuals' mental health with the theme, "𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗣 𝗧𝗔𝗬𝗢: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗴'𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀."

This happened in the conference room in the IT Building, which was started with the opening remarks of the OIC of Campus Director's Office and Asst. Director for Research and Extension, Dr. Emmanuel L. Ferrer. This was preceded to the discussion proper which was led by Ms. Joey Anne Diones, RPm.

Furthermore, the seminar has been actively participated by the TUP-T students with supervision of Mrs. Neizzel Joy T. Labro-Azuelo, our Guidance Coordinator.

The program ended with the closing remarks from the OIC of Asst. Director of Academic Affairs Office and EAAD Head, Engr. Raymund Lozada, PECE.

Earlier this morning, the TUP-Taguig started the enrolment after the TUP Admission Office announced the TUPSTAT results last June 14, 2025.

The enrollees are expected to comply with their requirements in line with their given schedule of enrollment.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: 𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀

University Information Technology Center (UITC ) released a memorandum today, June 18, requiring faculty members, employees, and students to change their passwords in the Web Enrolment and Registration System (WERS).

The memorandum, signed by the Director for UITC, Julius A. Sareno, calls for the password to be changed immediately. It was also noted that "failure to comply will result in temporary suspension of access to the system."

UITC also encouraged users to switch to stronger passwords with no personal information or use of identifiable patterns.

Crocodiles are large aquatic reptiles that belong to the family Crocodylidae. They are known for their elongated bodies, powerful jaws, and long tails. As ectothermic creatures, crocodiles depend on external sources to regulate their body temperature. Typically found in freshwater habitats like rivers, lakes, and swamps, some species can also thrive in brackish and saltwater environments.

Today, we have an opportunity to raise awareness about the threats crocodiles face, including the cruel treatment they often endure in poorly regulated wildlife farms.

June 16, 2025—The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Guild (BSEEG) gathered at the IT Conference Room alongside the successful passers of the April 2025 Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) and Registered Master Electrician (RME) Licensure Examinations for a momentous Testimonial Ceremony.

The event began with a solemn invocation, then was followed by inspiring opening remarks delivered by Engr. Danilo M. Gacusan. A special highlight of the ceremony was the presence of guest speaker Engr. Jemmuel Maminta. Engr. Maminta gives thanks to the following REE & RME for their work and dedication in passing the exam. After that, the following newly engineers gave their advice and shared their tips.

After that, the awarding ceremony, where the new board passers were formally recognized. Each REE & RME received a certificate of achievement for their years of work and success.

For ending the program, closing remarks were given by Engr. Jemmuel Maminta, emphasizing the collective pride of the department and the commitment of the guild to continue supporting its members' growth and excellence.
