The Commission on Higher Education(CHED) and TESDA today signed a landmark agreement in response to the recommendations of the EDCOM 2 - The Second Congressional Commission on Education. 🤝

This agreement, which pilots the establishment of a unified body on aligning the curriculum for priority industries identified as top priorities by EDCOM 2, is a pivotal step towards ensuring a well-coordinated education system that provides quality education to students and the workforce. Currently, CHED and TESDA have separate bodies based on their charters: Technical Panels, and Industry Boards, respectively.

Still feeling the chills from Baguio Art! 🎨✨

Honored to be part of the CBCC General Assembly at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, where creativity met purpose.

The Philippines is rich in creative talent, from animation and game development, to fashion, design, and digital content creation. We, along with every industry partners present in the room, have the chance to capture the creative intelligence and preserve the ideas of our culture.

Through TESDA’s training regulations, we’re setting industry-ready standards in creative skills. help align these with real-world trends, while innovative programs like allow us to pilot cutting-edge fields like AR/VR, game development, and creative entrepreneurship. Meanwhile in , learners train where the actual work happens, inside studios, fashion houses, and design firms, ensuring relevance and employability. Micro-credentials on the other hand, give artists the flexibility to earn and showcase stackable skills, while Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) validates those who are self-taught. All of these skills and achievements come together in a Skills Passport, your global creative portfolio that makes Filipino creative talent recognized both locally and internationally.

All of these to equip the Philippine creative industry with a future-ready, world-class workforce.

Even though I was only virtually present at the T.H.E. (Tourism and Hospitality Education) Summit last September 10 at the SMX Convention Center, I could truly feel the energy and excitement in the room, especially around the bold plans for the future of Philippine Tourism! 🇵🇭✈️

I was honored to speak about TESDA’s programs that continue to support and elevate our tourism and hospitality sectors. With the strong collaboration between TIBFI, our industry partners, and us in government, we’re building a workforce that’s globally competitive and aligned with international standards. 🌐

Thank you ED Joy Songsong for representing me in the panel that day and endless gratitude to TIBFI Chair Dr. Christina Aquino for the kind invitation, it was a pleasure to be part of such a successful event!

Behind Every Success is a Team that Dared to Dream and Deliver 🌟

As we have witnessed the end of a successful Worldskills ASEAN Competition, it’s time to shine the spotlight on the unsung heroes. The backbones of the function and the bearers of the smallest to biggest details needed to make sure everything is close to perfection.

As the Chair of three major Sub-Committees, I’ve felt the weight of responsibility, the urgency in every decision, the pressure to perfect every detail, and the quiet but constant hope that everything would fall beautifully into place. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it, because I was able to share this passion with others.

For the Partnership Sub-Committee, thank you for building bridges and fostering connections that were instrumental in making this event possible. Your professionalism and grace under pressure were unmatched. Thank you ED Joy Songsong for your guidance as co-chair.

For the Promotions and Public Relations Sub-Committee, your creativity, passion, and persistence gave this event its voice and its soul. You helped the world see what TESDA is capable of. Shoutout to Director Gerty Pagaran for your unparalleled expertise in this field and selflessly sharing it to the team.

For the Hospitality and Guest Relations, thank you for the warmth, care, and heart you extended to every guest and delegate. As commended by our guests of honor, the team made them feel not just welcome, but at home. AED Yen Juanani, we are in awe of the leadership you have shown to the team and I thank you for handling every circumstance with grace.

I am so proud and deeply grateful to have walked this journey with such talented and passionate individuals. We didn’t just help organize an event, we created an experience, and in doing so, formed memories and friendships that will last a lifetime💖

Here’s to the teamwork, the late nights, the shared laughter, and the small wins that built something unforgettable.

Wellness on a Plate

Grateful and honored to have been invited as a speaker in the Roundtable Discussion on “Wellness in a Dish: Integrating Wellness into the Culinary Arts” as part of the Health and Wellness Conference and Expo’s initiative to champion healthier lifestyles and support the Philippines’ vision of becoming a global hub for health and wellness.

Wellness just like gender, sustainability should be a core skill. Our training goes beyond cooking techniques—nutrition, food safety, and sustainable practices are now integral parts of preparing meals that truly sustain health in TESDA Programs.

Wellness can market edge, wellness is premium!

With the food industry shifting to healthier options, TESDA ensures our graduates are ready for these trends, making them more competitive both here and abroad.

Wellness for the communities. Culinary skills are not just for restaurants and hotels. They also help promote public health and food security by enabling families and communities to access nutritious and affordable meals. Various agencies are supporting community culinary.

In short, TESDA views integrated wellness in culinary not just as cooking— but as a mindset that supports industry growth, workforce readiness, and community well-being.

Wellness truly begins with knowledge, and thank you to Health and Wellness Confex for organizing a conversation that puts health at the heart of our plates and our communities. 💖
