15 July 2025 — 10:38 AM: A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck northeast of Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte at a depth of 27km, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

Location: 18.39°N, 120.35°E – 29 km northwest of Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte.

Reported Intensities:
🔸 Intensity IV – Claveria (Cagayan), San Nicolas & Solsona (Ilocos Norte), Sinait & Vigan City (Ilocos Sur)
🔸 Intensity III – Gonzaga (Cagayan)

GROWING VOLLEYBALL TOURISM IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭

An official bid for the hosting rights of the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Nations Cup will be submitted to the AVC today, with Candon City offering to be the main host of the tournament alongside Vigan City from June 6 to 13, AVC President Tats Suzara revealed during the 5th Men's SEA V.League press conference this Saturday.

If the bid is approved in September, Candon and Vigan will share hosting responsibilities, with the playoffs set to take place in Candon.
