A new blueberry plant, Vaccinium fallax (V. fallax), has been discovered on Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines. This species, found alongside wild berries, is similar to others but has smaller leaves and distinct flower shapes.

V. fallax is considered critically endangered due to its limited presence. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) urges visitors to protect this and other local species.

Manok ni Cano Gwapo, a tribute to Negros Occidental's multi-billion peso game fowl industry, has now earned the Guinness World Record for the largest building shaped like a chicken. This immense structure, owned by former Bacolod City councilor Ricardo "Cano" Tan, is situated at Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City. Comparable in height to a 10-story building, Manok ni Cano Gwapo achieved its world record status on September 8, 2024.

Eto ang sinasabuhay ni Teacher Jeric, isang ama at g**o sa Bag-ong Anonang Diut Elementary School. Dahil sa hirap ng buhay sa bundok, madalas walang baon ang kanyang mga estudyante. Kaya't namimigay siya ng libreng pagkain araw-araw mula sa kita ng kanyang vlog.

"Yung mga first two months, nagiging effective siya hanggang sa tinutuloy-tuloy ko siya hanggang ngayon. So, I've been doing this for already three years,” sagot niya sa isang interview.

At hindi lang yun—tumutulong din siya para makahanap ng scholarship ang ilang estudyante.
