Mag-isa ako sa kwarto, staring at my laptop screen. Ilang proposal na ang nasend ko sa Upwork, OnlineJobs, at kung saan-saan pa. Pero wala. Seen. Ghosted. Rejected.
Habang pinapatay ko ang ilaw, isang tanong ang paulit-ulit sa isip ko: Para saan pa 'to kung walang nangyayari?
The Struggle is Real! Nagsimula akong mag-freelance kasi akala ko, "Wow, work from home, flexible time, mas maraming kita!" Pero ilang buwan na, and I was still stuck. Walang clients. Walang kita. Puro self-doubt, late nights, at stress kapalit ng โfreedomโ na inaasam ko.
Isang beses natanong ko sa sarili ko. "Sigurado pa ba ako sa ginagawa ko?" That hit hard. Kasi deep inside, ako mismo, hindi na rin sigurado.
One night, inayos ko "LinkedIn ko" So I tried. Kahit pagod, I updated my profile, changed my headline, added my experience (kahit maliit pa lang), and posted my story.
The next day, may nag-message.
โHi, I saw your profile. Iโm looking for a VA. Are you available?โ
Teka, totoo ba โto?
Hindi ako makapaniwala. But that message that one message started everything.
The Real Lesson: Hindi madali. Hindi instant. Hindi perfect.
Pero ito ang natutunan ko:
โ Late nights are part of it โ pero dapat may direction.
โ No clients? Maybe itโs time to market better, not quit.
โ Self-doubt? Normal. Pero โwag hayaang โyun ang ending ng kwento mo.
โ Ang pinakaimportante?
You keep showing up. Kahit walang reply. Kahit paulit-ulit.
Now, I work with international clients, set my own time, and help others get started. But I never forget that version of me the one who almost gave up at 11:47 PM
