Public Statement from the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of La Filipina National High School
It is with deep sorrow and outrage that the Supreme Secondary Learner Government of La Filipina National High School issues this statement condemning the tragic and unjust death of one of our former students, Sophia Marie G. Coquilla, who was taken from us far too soon due to a senseless act of violence during an alleged robbery inside her own home.
Sophia was more than just a former student โ she was a cherished member of our school community, remembered for her warmth, kindness, and potential. Her life was full of promise, and her passing is a profound loss that deeply affects us all.
We mourn alongside her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. No one deserves to suffer such cruelty, especially in the place where they should feel safest. We strongly condemn this brutal act and call upon local authorities to pursue justice swiftly and decisively. Those responsible must be held accountable.
To the family of Sophia Marie G. Coquilla โ please know that you are not alone in this time of grief. The La Filipina NHS community stands with you, united in sorrow and in our demand for justice.
Let us remember Sophia not only in our prayers but also through our collective stand against violence. Her memory deserves nothing less than our firm resolve to make our communities safer and more compassionate for everyone.
