Ngayong ika-53 anibersaryo ng deklarasyon ng Martial Law, muli nating ipinapaalala: ang kasaysayan ay hindi dapat maulit. Ang dilim ng diktadura at katiwalian ay hindi kailanman mananaig kung sama-sama tayong kikilos.

Sa mga lansangan ngayon sa Maynila, Cebu, at Cagayan de Oro, libu-libong kabataan at mamamayan ang nagtitipon para labanan ang katiwalian at ipaglaban ang hustisya.

On this special day, September 8, we joyfully celebrate the nativity of the Mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Mary’s birth is a gift of hope to all humanity, for through her humble “yes” to God’s will, salvation entered the world.

As our Mother and intercessor, she teaches us the virtues of faith, humility, obedience, and love. Her life is a shining example of trust in God’s plan, reminding us to remain steadfast even in times of uncertainty.

May we honor her not only with prayers and songs today, but by imitating her purity of heart, gentleness, and unwavering devotion to God. Let us ask for her intercession that we may grow in holiness and be guided closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

‎Ngayong buwan ng Agosto ay ipinagdiriwang natin ang Buwan ng Wika—isang mahalagang pagkakataon upang sariwain at ipagdiwang ang ating mahal na wika. Hindi lamang ito simpleng selebrasyon, kundi isang paalala na ang wika ay puso at kaluluwa ng ating pagkatao bilang mga Pilipino.

‎
‎Ang wika ay isang makapangyarihang kasangkapan sa pagpapahayag ng mga kaisipan, damdamin, at kultura ng ating bansa. Sa pamamagitan nito, naipapasa natin mula sa henerasyon hanggang sa susunod ang ating mga tradisyon, kwento, at karunungan. Ang Filipino at iba’t ibang katutubong wika ay nagsisilbing sinulid na nag-uugnay sa bawat isa sa atin, anuman ang rehiyon o kultura na ating kinabibilangan.

‎Kapag ating pinapahalagahan ang ating wika, pinapanday natin ang landas tungo sa pagkakaunawaan, pagtutulungan, at pagkakaisa. Sa simpleng paggamit ng Filipino sa araw-araw—sa tahanan, sa paaralan, at sa pamayanan—ating pinapakita na mahalaga sa atin ang ating identidad bilang isang bayan.

‎Sa panahon ngayon na mabilis ang pag-usbong ng teknolohiya at pandaigdigang komunikasyon, mahalaga na patuloy nating pagyamanin at itaguyod ang paggamit ng Filipino at ng mga katutubong wika. Maari itong gawin sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulat, pananaliksik, paggawa ng sining, at paggamit ng sosyal medya upang maipakalat ang kagandahan at kahalagahan ng ating sariling wika.

‎Hinihikayat nating lahat na yakapin, pagyamanin, at ipagbunyi ang ating mga wika—sapagkat ang wika ay higit pa sa mga titik at salita. Ito’y daluyan ng ating kultura, sisidlan ng ating mga pangarap, at tulay na nag-uugnay sa nakaraan, kasalukuyan, at hinaharap.

‎Sa bawat kataga at taludtod na ating binibigkas, ating pinatitibay ang ating pagkakaisa, ating pinapatibay ang ating pagka-Pilipino. Sa wika, tayo ay nagiging iisa, at sa ating pagkakaisa, mas nagiging matatag ang ating bansa.
