We Filipinos have a very unique way of calling others by making the “psst” sound. Try this sometimes. When you are abroad, and you are not sure if the fellow ahead is a Filipino, a Malaysian or a Thai, make the “psst” sound. If he turns his head, you have found a kababayan.

There is something else that is very unique to us Pinoys. We point with our lips. We are the only people in the world that point at people, things, and directions with our protruding lips..

Mama Mary is the lady who calls, i.e. Manaoag (tawag) and it is she who points to her Son Jesus. All of us too should be busy with our mission of calling others. And leading them to Jesus.
