My thoughts on what is happening here are, well, please correct me if I'm wrong. This is just my personal opinion based on my experience as a marine mariner. When carrying a cargo of logs, the vessel likely experiences what we call 'stiff vessel' conditions, as it typically has a high center of gravity and a larger metacentric height (GM). Hull design and weight distribution play vital roles in this type of cargo. From what I see, there may be an issue with the vessel's ballast in this situation. I have encountered something similar before, and luckily, we noticed the prolonged list of the vessel and immediately adjusted the ballast; otherwise, we could have found ourselves in the same predicament
Sí, Chief Mate, nasad ni ba? Sorry, kabaro, but during cargo operations, ikaw jud ang kulprit.**”
