BPA Students Witness Memorandom of Agreement Signing Between CHMSU Talisay and CHR
Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) students witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) on May 22, 2026, at the CHMSU Talisay (Main) Campus Function Hall.
The agreement formally establishes a collaborative partnership dedicated to promoting and strengthening a sustainable culture of human rights through education, research, and active community engagement. By combining institutional efforts and shared advocacy, the partnership aims to raise awareness, encourage critical understanding, and empower individuals to uphold the principles of dignity, equality, and justice within society. With the Akobatayan, we were informed of valuable and essential information that deepened our understanding, broadened our perspective, and highlighted the importance of staying knowledgeable and aware.
As election season approaches, discussions about leadership, governance, and public responsibility once again take center stage. Behind every ballot cast lies the electoral process โ a system that allows citizens to choose leaders who will represent their voices and shape the direction of the nation. Understanding this process remains essential in preserving democracy and encouraging responsible citizenship.
Through understanding the electoral process, citizens โ especially the youth โ become more aware of the importance of participation in governance. Informed voting not only strengthens democracy but also ensures that leadership remains accountable to the people it serves.
Inside the crowded hall filled with students, teachers, and youth leaders, one message echoed strongly throughout the symposium: the youth hold an important role in protecting and promoting human rights. "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan," a timeless statement from Jose Rizal, continues to resonate in modern society as the youth remain powerful voices for change, justice, and progress. Indeed, the statement remains relevant in today's generation.
