Mixed results for this week's races.
Round 2 for Chequered Flag SimSports at Laguna Seca with the Lamorghini Huracan Super Trofeo went well but could have been better. Qualified 3rd after a very close qualifying session where top 3 were only separated by 1 tenth of a second (could have gotten pole if I did not mess up my quali lap). Race started without major incidents until lap 7. Second place driver made a mistake touching the gravel on turn 2 which gave me the opportunity to catch up. Approaching turn 4 side by side then unfortunately, he missed the braking point a bit causing him to go wide, collided with me and caused him to spin. From here on, I was slowly catching 1st place and even got the fastest lap of the session. Minor mistakes here and there that prevented me from catching up with 1st place as fast as I should. Finished the race 2nd with just 2 tenths difference between 1st place.

Then came Simracing.gp | Nine 4 Nine community GT3 league driving the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO with SRPH livery. Qualified 7th on the grid where I could have possibly gotten top 3 if only the g27 did not start acting up. With less than of a tenth gap from p3 to p7, I was almost 2 tenths up on delta then suddenly wheel disconnected. Panicked and scrambled to get the wheel fixed but unfortunately ran out of time to make another set of qualifying laps. Things then did no go so well during the race. Front guys collided with each other, spun and blocked the track. With nowhere to go, I hit the guy in front resulting in front splitter damage but brought me to 4th place. With a damaged car, I got bullied on the last sector, again, touched with another driver which gave me more damage and dropped me back to p7. From here on, everything just went downhill and with a damaged car, people behind started catching up. Pit was super but unfortunately received a drive through for driving beyond track limits. Finished the race 18th from a grid of 43 cars. Had the pace to possibly fight for top 5 but things did not go well and that is racing. We will have a better result on the following rounds for sure!
