TODAY's LIGHT

In a world where competition often overshadows compassion, we are reminded by Philippians 2:3 to rise above selfish ambition and pride.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”

Crab mentality, which is the mindset of pulling others down when they start to rise, has no place in a heart that truly follows Christ. Real success is not about being ahead of others; it’s about growing together, celebrating each person’s progress, and finding joy in others’ achievements.

Humility doesn’t mean thinking less of yourself; it means thinking of yourself less. When we learn to value others, we create a community built on love, encouragement, and respect. Let’s stop competing and start completing one another.

Be proud of yourself, student progress is still progress, no matter how tired you are. Here’s to surviving and thriving this sem, and to doing even better in the next!

October is a time to celebrate scouting where, we showcase our leadership, community service and friendship.

On October 13, 2025, the Investiture ceremony for the scouts took place in Tanauan National High School for the scouts to be formally marks their commitment in scouting.

Congratulations to the scouts who are eager to become a great leader not just in our school but in our community! As Robert Baden-Powell wisely said, "The Scout is not governed by don’t, but is led by do." This reminds us to focus on what we can achieve through action. To our parents and to our scout coordinator, Sir 𝐉𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐆. 𝐋𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬, thank you for your support. Once again congratulations scouts! 🥳👏

"𝑰 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏"

On October 20, 1944, on the shores of Leyte, a historic moment was captured in the Philippines' history: the return of 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫. After years of Japanese colonization, his words "𝑰 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏" became a symbol of hope and freedom for the Filipino people.

American and Filipino soldiers fought side by side to free our country from colonizers and to reclaim the country's independence. The sacrifices of our heroes not only restored the freedom of our country but also strengthened the trust and camaraderie of the people. Today the Leyte landing is a story that reminds us of the hope, freedom, and unbreakable spirit of the Filipino people.
