Today, I experienced an act of kindness that I will never forget.
I was eating at Burger Machine in Guadalupe when I met a man who was having trouble getting a ride. He didn't have the Grab or InDrive app, so I offered to help him book one. I told him it wouldn't cost him anything—he only needed to pay the driver directly.
To my surprise, he insisted on giving me ₱4,000. I repeatedly declined because I was simply helping him, but he insisted, so I accepted it. When the driver arrived, I gave the driver ₱1,000 and told him he could keep the change as a tip.
If this reaches Cebu Pacific Air or Philippine Airlines , I hope you can help identify your fellow pilot. I would love the chance to personally thank him for his generosity and kindness.
₱3,000 is a huge amount of money. It can buy groceries, help pay bills, or support a family. His generosity reminded me that there are still genuinely kind people in this world.
To my fellow Filipino Grab and Lalamove riders and drivers, I hope you also get to experience or witness moments like this. Let's continue to help one another whenever we can. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's day.
