Free Art Gallery + Cafe in Rizal 🖼️☕️

If you’re looking for a peaceful , student friendly cafe in Rizal, this one is truly a hidden gem. ❤️

I visited La Casa Rizaliano, and I didn’t expect na may FREE art gallery inside , perfect if you’re into art or just want a calm space to relax.

The place feels like a mix of a bahay kubo-inspired café and an art space, with works displayed around the area.

I even got the chance to meet the owner/artist ( Sir Jerome ) he's very hands-on and passionate, and he shared a bit of the story behind the place which made the experience even more meaningful.

🍳 Longganisa Rice Meal – ₱99

For the price, it’s honestly sulit, feels so illegal staying there for almost 3 hours dahil ang mura ng food & drinks nila 🥹

✔ Quiet environment
✔ Naturey, alfresco vibe

I was able to stay, relax, and even get some work done.

🌿 Overall Vibe
Super peaceful, not crowded, and very refreshing , this is perfect for:
✔ Solo dates
✔ Slow mornings
✔ Creative work sessions
✔ Art lovers ( looking forward to join one of their art workshops )

This is my honest review , this is the kind of place I’d usually gatekeep… but honestly, it deserves more appreciation. Supporting small businesses like this hits different specially as a Rizaleño.

I work remotely… so technically, I can work anywhere
café, airport, ibang bansa
and I know… from the outside, it looks like freedom

and it is

but what people don’t really see is

ikaw lahat
ikaw yung maghahandle ng clients
ikaw yung mag-aadjust sa timezone
ikaw yung magtatrabaho kahit pagod ka na

and at the same time…

you’re navigating a new place
figuring things out on your own
walang pause button

especially when you’re a mom
hindi lang sarili mo yung iniisip mo

kahit nasa ibang country ka
kahit ang ganda ng paligid
there’s always that small voice at the back of your head

“what if something happens?”

and I don’t say this to be negative

it’s just real

life happens… kahit hindi ka ready

and I’ve learned that the more freedom you have

the more responsibility comes with it

hindi pwedeng go lang ng go
you have to be prepared

not just with your itinerary
not just with your work

but with the things you can’t control
kaya ngayon, mas intentional na ako

I still travel
I still work anywhere
I still say yes to opportunities

but I make sure I have something to rely on

My personal savings ( thru digital banks , MP2 etc )
Life insurance
KwikCare ( my HMO plan ) became part of that for me

not something loud
not something I post everyday
but something that quietly gives me peace of mind

so I can keep doing what I love
without constantly worrying about the “what ifs”

because at the end of the day…
freedom is amazing

but feeling safe while living that freedom
matters more.

My honest Latin American food guide in Bristol 🫓🌮

I’ve personally visited these spots, and here’s my real experience , the good, the closed, and the ones I’d actually go back to.

🍽️ Morales Latin Market - .latin.market
Food was amazing and felt authentic. The couple running it were so kind, I even got an extra ensalada with my bandeja paisa 🥹 The cake I took home? No photos because my family finished it immediately. That says a lot.

🫓 Casa Latina - .uk
Highly recommend if you're looking for pub-style vibe restaurant & great arepas!
they even have language exchange nights which I love , looking forward to be back there.

🌮🍹 Batida -
Great deals, great vibes. Taco Tuesday is such a steal (6 tacos + 6 margaritas for £35). Perfect for brunch, groups, and cocktails. The energy was amazing.

I tried visiting 3 times and it was closed each time. They really should update their Google hours because I was genuinely looking forward to trying it.

🌮 Chido Wey -
I was craving tacos but they don’t accept cash, and there wasn’t a clear way to order at that time , so I had to skip it. I still thought cash is king 💸

Overall, Bristol has solid Latin spots, but definitely check opening times before heading out also I've had more on my list as I prepare flying over to Latin America ❤️
