The official student publication team of Tamalagon Integrated School, The Integrated Echo proudly presents its newly appointed Editorial Board for the academic year 2026-2027. Guided by its motto “Echoing voices. Amplifying community.” the publication continues its mission of informing, inspiring, and representing the student body through credible and impactful storytelling.

Composed of dedicated and talented student journalists, this team is committed in upholding the values of responsible journalism, truthful reporting, excellence in campus press, and meaningful storytelling within and beyond the school community.

Tamalagon Integrated School proudly joins Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.” From June 1–5, 2026, teachers, parents, learners, alumni, and community partners come together to prepare our school for another productive and meaningful academic year.

Through the spirit of bayanihan, we strengthen our commitment to providing a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for every learner. Together, let us continue building a school community where unity, service, and education pave the way for a brighter future.

From Silver to National Glory: Ropero makes historic first for TIS

Congratulations, Third H. Ropero, an incoming Grade 11 student of Tamalagon Integrated School, for earning a spot to represent Region VI Western Visayas in the Palarong Pambansa 2026!

History was made by Ropero as he is the first-ever TIS’ian to reach the Palarong Pambansa in the secondary level, marking a proud and groundbreaking achievement for the school.

Competing in Boxing (Secondary Boys Under 17, 50-52 kg), your hard work, determination, and discipline have truly paid off. From a silver finish to the national stage, your journey reflects your perseverance and passion for the sport.

As you step into this bigger arena in Agusan del Sur this May 24-31, 2026, carry with you the pride and support of the whole TIS community.

Our mission, and our deeds might fade like dust, but our impact that moves the lives around us will remain forever.

Dr. Ju-Im Jimlan is a renowned educator, and Head Teacher I at Tamalagon Integrated School in the district of Tangalan, Aklan. Recently, he was promoted as Master Teacher I in the elementary department at the same school.

He is a national winner of the Dangal ng Bayan Award, a prestigious recognition given by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for outstanding public service. He is also a recepient of the Aklans Ten Outstanding Mentor (ATOM) of the Schools Division of Aklan, and he develops the TIS Hymn, the Official School Hymn of the school. Dr. Jimlan's passion for teaching stems from his painful experiences growing up in Marawi, where he witnessed the transformative power of education.

Jimlan developed innovative teaching approaches, such as Tuklas-Aral, and Bisita-Kumustahan which have benefited numerous students. Dr. Jimlan is also actively involved in community work, school supply drives for school children, volunteering during disasters like Typhoon Odette, and organizing donation drives for COVID-19 frontliners.

The whole TIS community and the Editorial Board and Public Affairs Team of the Integrated Echo extend its sincerest condolences to the family of the late Dr Ju-im Jimlan. With profound love, we join to the prayer for the soul of our beloved sir Ju-im.

May the Good Lord grant him eternal rest. Amen.
