Today, my counselors in the First Presidency and I were grateful to visit the Salt Lake Temple as its renovation continues.
We look forward to welcoming people from around the world during the Salt Lake Temple Celebration and open house from April to October 2027.
Most importantly, we look forward to sharing the sacred purposes of temples. In the temple, faithful men and women receive divine instruction, make sacred covenants, and receive spiritual power. These eternal covenants unite us with Heavenly Father and our families forever.

No matter where we are on the path of discipleship, the Savior invites us to keep moving forward. Like the rich young ruler, each of us can ask, “What lack I yet?”—and if we are humble enough to listen, the Lord will lovingly show us the next step. Perfection does not come all at once; it comes through daily repentance, steady improvement, and faithfully following Jesus Christ. As we trust Him and allow the Holy Ghost to guide us, our weaknesses become strengths, our hearts change, and we gradually become more like our Heavenly Father. The invitation is not simply to do more—but to become more through Christ. ✨

Mental illness is not a sign that God has abandoned you.
Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply staying. Staying alive. Staying prayerful. Staying close to God even when you cannot feel Him near.
Jesus Christ understands silent battles, invisible pain, and exhausted hearts. He knows how to heal what others cannot see.
So if you are struggling right now, please remember: You are loved. You are needed. And your story is not over.
