𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 is commemorated from 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓 in the Philippines. Schools across the country honor teachers via awards, seminars, student commendations, and community activities, for all their hard work and contributions. This month has us remembering that teachers are indeed pillars of learning and molders of the future of the country.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

Innovation meets real-world problem-solving! The Reverse Pitching: Local Challenges, Digital Solutions event was held on September 4, 2025, at the Activity Hall of Tangub City Global College (TCGC). The program was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental, in cooperation with DICT, CDO Bites, the Local Government Unit of Tangub City, and the Institute of Computer Studies (ICS) at TCGC, which actively facilitated the event.

Selected students from the Tangub City Global College (TCGC) – Institute of Computer Studies joined fellow delegates from the Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology (NMSCST). The event provided a platform for students to present innovative digital solutions to pressing local community challenges.

Grouped into teams, the students tackled real-world issues affecting Tangub City and proposed tech-driven solutions designed to improve public services, drive development, and uplift local communities. The presence of Tangub City’s Mayor further highlighted the city’s support for empowering the youth to become problem-solvers, innovators, and changemakers.

More than just a pitching activity, it was a knowledge-filled experience that fostered collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The event demonstrated the potential of students to transform local challenges into opportunities through digital innovation, paving the way for a smarter, future-ready Tangub City.

The Reverse Pitching: Local Challenges and Digital Solutions event is currently taking place at the 3rd Floor Activity Hall of Tangub City Global College today, September 4, 2025. Selected students from Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology (NMSCST) and Tangub City Global College (TCGC) are joining this collaborative gathering, where local stakeholders, innovators, and learners work together to address real-world challenges through digital solutions and innovation.

This event serves as a platform where local issues are presented and innovative ideas are pitched, empowering participants to think critically, explore creative strategies, and leverage technology for impactful solutions. By fostering collaboration, the activity aims to inspire digital transformation and community-driven innovation within Tangub City and beyond.

A devastating fire broke out in Brgy. Mantic, Tangub City, leaving our fellow Lux Mundi displaced and in need of our support. Many have lost their homes and belongings, and now more than ever, they need us to come together as one community.
